Super happy for Ghost. I liked Arya's and Sansa's ending. The whole king bit isn't what I pictured.

I always thought Jon reuniting with the Wildlings was his best alternative.

I’m happy with how that played out. I just thought the conversation between Danny and Jon right before the stab could have been better. Other than that solid ending.

They pretty much left it open if they ever want to make a sequel mini series or movie.

I think it might have gone better with the last 2 episodes put together.

Still don't understand how there are so many Dothraki and Unsullied, but the Wildlings are mostly children.

One or 2 of those Wildlings look like White Walkers.

Was Jon leading the willing home or was he leaving to live with them so he can pound some of that Eskimo p****?

Both would be my guess.

Bonus points for Ghost!

Jamie's page finally gets finished

Actually only thing that disappointed me was not seeing Bran looking for Drogon

Everything else got a nice tidy ending.

It wouldn't have made sense to have any of the mains that were left to rule, they all got better endings than sitting on a throne would have given them so it had to go to a character who had some importance to them but wasn't a main and for better or worse Bran is that character. I love that Drogon wasn't killed, not that we'll ever see any of these characters again but it's nice to know they didn't kill him just for the hell of it. I'm bummed that the series has ended, it could have gone on for a couple more years but I don't think the cast wanted that let alone the show runners who are now moving on to do a star wars movie.

I hope the spin-off that's made doesn't leave out the fantastical elements like white walkers or dragons, clearly they need to tell different stories but if they drop too much of that it just won't be as good IMO.

A crap finale to end a crap season. Such a shame this great show ended in mediocrity.

Only thing they did right was having an 'other' assume power.

As he never got to finish the joke

Its just a shame that Bran has been such an underwhelming character. He has done so little. They even left him out of an entire season.

Who knows what the cast would have wanted but most of them just peaked in careers. I certainly don't agree with GRRM who thought it should be 12 seasons but 8 full seasons probably could have got it done.

Here's a question. If Winterfell and the North are under their own kingdom, why would the other houses elect Bran? Shouldn't they look within their houses?

Other kingdoms want to stay United. North wants to be Scotland

The north has wanted to be independent since Robbs rebellion so it finishes that story line. But Sansa is an entitled bitch again at the end and played the game to get her way.

It just makes zero sense and feels contrived. Sansa didn't like Dany and that made sense. However with Dany gone and Bran king, she still leaves? Why?
This show was based on depth of characters and it ended with this forced happy-ish ending mess.

Totally forgot the Iron Islands was given their independence, by Dany, yet Yara didn't bring this up.

Well that is an especially good question when it comes to Yara Greyjoy as she wanted to be Queen before Euron showed up

Edit: You beat me to it

Because it nothing to do with Dany specifically. Now it probably would make sense for her to be ok with Bran since we assume she would be ok with Jon but that is only temporary. If she doesn't want an outsider to rule that is what would happen when Bran dies.

Bran won't always be king. The next ruler might treat the north like crap again.

Also, what exactly does this Night's Watch do now? :)

I wanted to like this. I really did. Last episode showed they may pull something off, but no.

She simply backed her right to be their queen under the condition they ceased raids on the main land and raping people

How is Sam Grand Maester when he isn't even a Maester? In fact why is he not back at the Night's Watch?
