Official Thread Game of Thrones

I still don't get how nobody has picked up this license for an action RPG, Jon Snow is made for gaming! He can fight, has a huge wolf for a pet and can probably fly on a dragon! Make a big open world, add new playable characters and stories over time and you'd be set.

You’re just smitten by Snow and want to see him as much as you can on TV.

Hey it took until the 2nd to last season just to see his ass, give me a break! lol jk.

He's a great character for a game though and then adding characters and locations over time, hell I'd love to see Wun Wun playable at some point if they ever make a game.

Only a couple more weeks of filming. All Jon, Danny and Jamie scenes have been filmed

It sucks that "Winter is Coming" will end when it's 90 degrees out. Should be premiering in March at the latest or postpone it until December.

Not sure if anyone has posted this before but it's pretty cool.

Crazy!
Game of Thrones was 2018's top on-demand show despite no new episodes

The most popular on-demand TV show in 2018 didn’t air a single new episode.

HBO’s Game of Thrones topped all other TV titles in on-demand streaming, according to data provided by Comcast and reported by USA Today.

Thrones was most recently on the air in August 2017, as it finished its seventh season. The fantasy hit’s eighth-and-final season will premiere in April 2019. So far, HBO has only released one photo from the new episodes and a couple seconds of footage.

“The fact that that show is still ranked No. 1 across the board when it wasn’t even current is pretty incredible,” Comcast Cable executive Brynn Lev told USA Today. “It shows just how large of a following that show has (and) how new people are still discovering it.”

Set 5 to 8 thousand years before GoT.

Naomi Watts taking the lead and series being written by Jane Goldman and George R.R. Martin (how about you finish the last 2 books)

No dragons and none of the current families and sounds like it will be more like the earlier seasons

Really? It’s a fictional show and they couldn’t narrow down the window of 3000 years to any particular decade at least?

“‘10,000 years’ is mentioned in the novels,” Martin told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published in November, while addressing how “recognizable” the series will be for fans. “But you also have places where maesters say, ‘No, no, it wasn’t 10,000, it was 5,000.’ Again, I’m trying to reflect real-life things that a lot of high fantasy doesn’t reflect. In the Bible, it has people living for hundreds of years and then people added up how long each lived and used that to figure out when events took place. Really? I don’t think so. Now we’re getting more realistic dating now from carbon dating and archeology. But Westeros doesn’t have that. They’re still in the stage of ‘my grandfather told me and his grandfather told him.’ So I think it’s closer to 5,000 years.”
