Cherry pick?

It's a whole scene that shows the type of person she can be. Plenty more and yes plenty of her being good. But the people saying she's never shown this side are in strong denial for a fictional character.

And again with with Arya and again no one's acting like she's a saint.

I think they did the minimum for a build because they wanted it to be as shocking as possible for as many people as possible. Combine that with the rushed 2 seasons and you have an execution that will go down as very divisive.

As Tywin said anyone who has to say they are king is no true king. Same with queens

BTW people were saying her vision of the Iron Throne was ash. Well its not. Its snow.

Yeah it's clearly snow, basically shows the vision of her destroying the throne room and Jon Snow taking over. Not sure why the internet is throwing such a fit over this when they loved this scene back in like 2012 or whatever

I don't know who is throwing a fit. I have only really seen it mentioned because people think its ash.

But it will be ash now. It will look similar to that in the final episode. Probably was just originally intended to be White Walker related before they either changed their course or GRRM gave them more info.

Go on any Game of Thrones subreddit and you'll see nonstop bickering about what it means, and then it turns into a "Dany wouldn't burn Kings Landing REEEEE" fest

Not sure what anyone could argue about. It was snow and now it isn't. It wasn't their intention but it will look similar enough.

He would never have known he was a Targaryen if Bran hadn't become the 3 eyed Raven which was something that happened because of the white walker threat.

If anyone is unhappy with how the show is being written they need to blame Martin, he has had plenty of time to finish the story and he knew this show was going to end at some point.

They could have easily revealed that some way using Howland Reed. I guess it doesn't even matter anymore. At this point everyone is unhappy with the show.

The only question I really have at this point is how much of season eight was from Martin. They said from the very beginning that the ending was one thing Martin figured out earlier on and he had shared it with the showrunners. Is the whole series one big troll?

And yes I absolutely blame Martin. Not only for failing to finish a book in 8 years but also for disavowing the show for good right as they were about to run out of source material.

Predictions? I think Jon will kill Dany, not sure what Drogon will do but I also think Jon will turn down the throne and somehow Sansa will take it.

Arya to kill Dany to make the Dany internet fanboys truly rage.

Jon to go north. Sansa on the throne.

Bran the night king

They made a point to have a good close up of Varys ring. Wonder if it has poison in it?

Arya confronts Dany. Before Arya tries to kill her... dracarys. Jon Snow knows she does it intentionally. Snow kills her. Snow goes back to wall. Sansa gets Wintefell. There's no more "throne." Secular everywhere.

It was said he told them from the start but its also been said he talked to them about the ending just a few years ago. Maybe the original thing he told them was purely Iron Throne related and more recently he gave them something like Dany going mad? Maybe something for some other major characters.

Given the way he writes I doubt he would have known whats going to happen to most of his characters so I would say the events in the books would be pretty different if they ever come out. I don't think Cersei is going to be on the throne when Dany comes to take it. Not convinced White Walkers don't come after Dany going mad also. Especially because of the prince that was promised storyline. I assume he is going somewhere with that.

If this is the ending I hope they at least address that Jon would be dooming Westeros to even more war.
