Nobody I know but me plays this anymore. I think the loss of tracking and lack of meaningful updates are killing this game for people. I personally still enjoy it, but it's hard to find people playing anymore. I mean it's not dead but what is your experience like now?

Deleted it a while back.

No one at work talks about it now

It started with a boom, but it feels like they didn't have much planned for its longevity.

Still pretty big here in NYC, but I doubt they are getting a lot of new users.

I am at the point now where if I feel like playing, I will, but otherwise I really don't care all that much.

Basically I don't care about leveling up or battling at gyms, but just look for pokemon I haven't caught yet. The leveling seems like a completely pointless and seemingly endless grind.

My office is a college dorm and the whole area is littered with pokestops and good pokemon. If not for that I would have quit ages ago. I literally walk past 2 pokestops on the way in from my car so it is easy for me to play.

The big problem is the area around my house is almost completely dead so there's no point in playing.

I still play it a few times a week. I don't bother though unless I'm going down to the beach, or downtown where there's a pub patio that has 3 stops in range, I sit there and have a few pints, hit the stops every 5 minutes, then walk around and go home.

The beach has like 25 stops within a kilometer and there's still tons of people there playing it whenever I go.

I'm pretty sure a big update is coming this month with 2nd gen and "buddies", trading etc. that should give it a boost.

I just like that it gives me a reason to go walk down at the lake or have a few pints on a patio :D I'm almost level 20 so that's my next goal.

Most of the people I work with are still playing it too, they're all younger and grew up with pokemon. I have no interest in pokemon other than this go game, I wouldn't play a traditional pokemon game.
