Games you miss playing....

There was a game I used to play a ton called Gladius on the OG Xbox. It was a turn based RPG, but it was set within ancient Rome and Roman mythology. You might have human gladiators, but could have minotaurs as well, etc. You could drop/add characters, build them up, customize their appearance a bit, etc. I would love to see it become backward compatible at some point.
I never actually finished it but I agree, it was fun.

Command and Conquer (Can't wait for the remaster)
Command and Conquer Renegades
R6: Raven Shield
Ghost Recon
Warcraft (Can't wait for the remaster)
Gothic 3
Brothers in Arms Hell's Highway
Battlefield 2 and Special Forces
MAFIA
Team Fortress (OG)
Call of Duty 2

There weren't LAN parties where I grew up, but I suppose in a way I sort of miss the Arcade as a community spot.

I remember playing the original Killer Instinct on the arcade back in the day. I had a good winning streak against the Arcade clerk to lol.

I lucky enough to experience some of the end of the arcade era. I remember my buddy and I walking to a Chicago restaurant called Ricobene's and we'd play Battletoads there.

Oh yeah, back when the arcades blew away anything you could get at home. I remember this place called Boardwalk USA, and you could buy all day passes. Street Fighter, Marvel Superheroes, Mortal Kombat 2, that 4 player Xmen brawler, and of course, the first time I played Virtua Fighter. Blew my mind.

Ecco the Dolphin needs a reboot. One of the best translations from 2D to 3D I've seen (Dreamcast). Needs 4K NOW!

For sure, the visuals and animations were way ahead of consoles for quite some time. I think once we got more around the mid-nineties, the gap got way tigher, if not closed, and arcades seemed less impressive at that time. Then around the early to mid 2000s, we started missing them!
