Weird glitch where the objective marker flashes in the middle top portion of my screen for one frame keeps messing with me. Otherwise no complaints from me. Haven't played Gears since the 360 era. Took me a bit to familiarize myself with the reload and cover system. Still not used to the RB button being used for reloading and the special weapon attack. I keep reloading instead of chainsawing during combat.
But the game is too slow paced. A twitch shooter is defined by needing quick reactions. Granted, you coulfd technically say that about tye vast majority of games. Which is why game speed is an important factor, the faster the game speed the faster your reactions need to be.
Alot of people try to say that COD isn't a twitch shooter, but most of them cite the aim assists as the reason why, even though aim assists has little bearing on reactions.
Think I know where you are. Sounds like the same place D-VANT and I are at in our CooP campaign.
Not me. I have always been against, especially for SP where it just isn't needed.
Halo 5 is another game who's SP graphics were not as good as they could have been due to them targeting 60fps. Just like Gears 5 doesn't look as good as it could have (this is 100% fact and is proven with the PC ver w/ Ultra settings) because of targeting 60fps...for a franchise that has been 30fps default in the SP for ever prior game. At the very least there needs to be a graphics toggle for choice aka Gears 4.

When the options are FPS, graphics, or "let the user choose", the only correct answer is let the user choose.
And if FPS and graphics were THAT important to you....as in a HUGE priority, the only correct answer is PC.
Thankfully I finished that section last night and I'm now in another part that still isn't all that interesting. Sad to say but to me so far the most interesting character is Jack the robot and he doesn't talk.
You can say the same thing for pretty much every game for one reason or another, though.
I agree an option might be the best for the user, but then that is more work to optimize multiple versions of the same game. Plus, Hedon is right, there was alot of the community asking for 60FPS.
The game looks good and plays well. Can't really ask for more than that.

They are intrinsically part of every single game, of course. Even dominating most of the discussion isn't bad, but you guys argue and make it so plodding, long, and tiresome. Back and forth all week long looks good looks bad get your eyes checked etc etc

whatever. Anyone else not able to hit s***? I've been fumbling with sensitivity sliders all up and down, but am always overshotting or too slowly trailing. I think now that it's the aim acceleration. Gotta 0 that and see if I can actually nail a headshot later. That bloody torque bow relic haunts my dreams.

Do you mean for SP? I haven't tried multiplayer yet but I'm not having any issues for the SP. I'm loving the Bolstok, Hammerburst and the Longshot.
I will Paypal you 2 euros to delete Gears 5, so we won't have to hear you go on about how much you dislike it.

Agreed. But he has admitted that he doesn't even want to play it. We don't need that. I KNEW he would be posting this way once he got it. He does it all the time for Xbox games.
I'm not. This is a recurring thing, Menace. Don't make this an expressing your opinion issue. His opinion on Gears 5 was set long before he played it. It's a recurring thing. You know he only pulls this crap if it's for something positive for Xbox.
I don't mind people discussing their dislikes, but he's like those sour piñatas that invade the garden. I can guarantee he will do this (again) with The Outer Worlds, Halo Infinite, XO19 and whatever else positive for Xbox. He will set up his vinegar lemonade shop and try to make it the main attraction. Ain't nobody got time for that!
