Yesterday's Last of us part 2 announcement. Basically to point out MS did all that at no extra charge.
Hivebusters wasn't ready for the console launch, but the patch was. Hivebusters was $20, definitely not free. Microsoft also had next to nothing else to promote during their launch other than patches for old games. Sony released free upgrades for old games during their launch period as well. Disingenuous comparison.

Not really. Hive was an all new campaign featuring new characters so was always going to be paid DLC.
They have also continued to give free upgrades to first party titles
State of Decays Juggernaut Edition was a massive free upgrade.
Recore got a Definitive Edition upgrade again free.
And it's not even just Xbox One games. Many BC titles got better enhancements than anyone would have expected.
