DLC will be extra clips for his Battle Rifle,.

I'm about to be that guy. Magazines, not clips.

Jesus. Lol. Magazine. My bad.
To be honest, I don't know why I do that. Every person here knew exactly what you meant and that's all that matters.

I have a friend that is a great grand son of John M. Browning. He has gun oil in his veins, could talk to you for 3 hours straight about the history of the 1911, has been shooting since he was 4, and is an avid history and gun enthusiast (like me).....yet he still will say "clip" when he means a magazine from time to time. It shows how language evolves and changes........but it still triggers my OCD for some reason. ;)

I am triggered when people say gun instead of weapon. Probably because I was in the Army and they taught us to never say gun.

Probably has more to do with the constant misinformation and misuse of terms around firearms and the resulting sensitivity.

Just curious, why did they not want you to say gun? A gun is just a type of weapon. I wonder what the logic is behind that.

Can’t watch the video atm...

Interesting, but why revise the cpu in X? Or why just the X, why not all the lesser/base Xbox Ones?

Would the discless variant be based on The S or something new entirely?

I can’t recall, but isn’t the X so far different in architecture that it’s emulating Xbox One games?

If they want it to be an entry level next gen machine that can still run games designed for more powerful hardware they'd have to change the CPU, that's why I don't get the people who say Sony and MS will drop the old consoles and make the revision consoles (Pro/1X) the standard machines going forward, the cpu's in both consoles are just too weak to run something that's taking advantage of what a ryzen based CPU would be able to do. Changing the CPU would be a way around that if it can be done. It will kind of mess up the market a bit though, you'd have some X owners who can play new gen games and some that can't, if they were going to do that they should change the name of the machine to something else entirely.

What did you do in the army?
Military Police. 95 Bravo, and did my Basic and AIT out of Ft. McClellan Alabama. Was stationed out of Ft. McCoy in Wisconsin.

A gun is one of many weapons. Not all of our weapons are guns. We call them weapons. Here is the difference between the two.

Gun:
“a weapon incorporating a metal tube from which bullets, shells, or other missiles are propelled by explosive force, typically making a characteristic loud, sharp noise.”

Weapon:
“a thing designed or used for inflicting bodily harm or physical damage.
"nuclear weapons"
  • a means of gaining an advantage or defending oneself in a conflict or contest.
"resignation threats had long been a weapon in his armory"

I think I may be a little thick as i still don't get why they wouldn't want you to say gun.

If there was a knife and a pistol on a shelf, and you asked someone to hand you that weapon on that shelf, wouldn't that be confusing? Both a knife and a gun are both weapons. A gun is just one type of weapon. Seems like it there would be less chance for confusion if you just called it a gun or a knife. But admittadly, there are things that the military does that just go right over my head.

And over my head. It is just what we were trained.

I always envisioned a gun a pistol or revolver, as opposed to a rifle... but doing the Google it seems I'm off. I did learn gun comes from old norse Gunhildr, which people still name children here today (or did two generations ago).

I'm not sure if I love hearing about the lower end SKU. Forcing developers to make games for a less powerful console doesn't seem ideal from our perspective. Hopefully this isn't the case.

What's the difference between that and what's going on now with X and PS4 Pro?

That original policy would be far greater with the game share compare what we have now if that went through. People will always act like cavemen no matter what.

They were never going to allow you to share games digitally, do you think 3rd parties would allow that? there is nothing stopping them from doing it now if they want to, they could just require that you be connected to use that feature. That was just BS they put out there to try to soften their image IMO.

I don't know why so many assume the next xbox will be more powerful than the next playstation, if they both launch in 2020 they'll basically be the same thing. No matter how much money a company has they'll still face the same technical limits as any competitor, every high end cell phone right now has basically the same internals for that very reason. They'll likely try to differentiate themselves in different ways outside of "power" they've already laid that groundwork with game pass and they'll probably have some type of AR peripheral thing eventually. Sony will probably focus on enhanced VR as well as some other type of services

Hmmm...good question. I don't know. I just prefer the idea of one console that everyone plays on. There's no competitive advantage because someone dropped an additional $200 dollars on the deluxe model (higher fps, sharper resolution, better draw distance). There's no wondering how a game will look/run on your base model after watching an E3 press conference.

The Pro and X models don't bug me as much because they're only a small fraction of the actual player base and I kind of understand their reasoning around 4k TV's.

Maybe I was just scarred to many times playing with 3rd party controllers at my friends house...

Been out of rdr2 for awhile...
I know I've pushed some button to get items and animals to light up so easier to spot without going into dead eye and loose that.... but now I can't figure out how I did it...
Help?

You just aim at them to see the star rating. Any weapon will do it. Found this out last night... Although it's possible you have to have one of the amulets, or whatever they are...
