MS was also first to have a hdmi in and out so you still on xbox live while watching TV.
No game from any company did. It’s just been more of the same from all. Less maybe.Others than Gears of War--not even a first party game-- over a decade a go what game moved the needle....especially this gen.
Well someone had to because it sure wasn't going to be SONY.What a game changer. Who needs games?
Well someone had to because it sure wasn't going to be SONY.
keep telling your self thatI'm pretty sure nobody had to because no one really cared
So you had to go back 2 decades to find any real innovation.I'm talking as whole.
MS was the first to put a HDD and a Network adapter in every OG xbox.
MS was the first to make xbox xbox live work on day one on every console after its second year on the OG Xbox.
MS also made parry chat built in the party chat in the OG xbox in the dashboard.
MS was also the first to made friends easy with cross chat no matter what game you were playing.
MS was the first to bring DLC on the OG xbox.
MS was also the first to introduce achievements in every game.
That was game changer to all of us.
MS was also first to have a hdmi in and out so you still on xbox live while watching TV.
What did Sony really bring?
A weak online Infrastructure and part chat was so last gen which they have it now.
Unlike Sony, MS will always change the game.
That being said they are things that really gets me under my skin on MS decision on some things which I dont get. So they are not perfect but they definitely made gaming what it is.
Most popular brand, had the best messaging, and followed it up with highly acclaimed games.
Only way MS was ever going to break the perception of it being the inferior console was with great must play games. It never happened.
While you make good points, I feel like after a year of updates to Gran Turismo Sport, it’s one of my favorite racers now. I think the meta score would be much higher than it debuted if they rated it today. One thing I've observed about SONY PlayStation games is that they have framerate problems and the gameplay is usually the weaker part of the experience.
The gameplay of HALO was never beaten by SONY. They gave up trying to compete. Gears has the best third person online gameplay. SONY has nothing to answer for it. And racing is ruled by Microsoft. Both Microsoft's FORZA Motorsport and FORZA Horizon series defeat SONY's Gran Turismo and Driveclub. The replayability for these games is high for single and multiplayer.
Remember the amazing hype for No Man's Sky? Both the gameplay and framerates were in bad condition at launch and people were still trying to convince themselves it was a success.
This generation SONY have been comically terrible with framerate drops. Their coding is the weaker part of their games.

Let's not forget that Sony at the last minute upped the clock speed of PS4, didn't they? There's no telling if they'll do that again or not. One thing is for sure though, I LOVE that this Microsoft is back. The "we aim to be performance leader" Microsoft. Which clearly wasn't their mindset with the Xbox One at the start.
If at the end of the day Anaconda (wish they kept that name, just like I wanted them to keep Scorpio) and PS5 are on par, that's great for everyone and people will finally shut up, lol. And if Xbox has the edge, hey that's a great bonus. I'm saying this because I'm obviously someone who prefers Xbox.
I thought they like, doubled the RAM or something...Let's not forget that Sony at the last minute upped the clock speed of PS4, didn't they? There's no telling if they'll do that again or not. So again this proves everything what I just said.
While everyone here is trying to say it's nothing big what MS have done, not once I have heard what Sony brought to the table.
Crisizing MS for lack of innovation they brought to gaming while the competition copied every move since they've been in the console space, then shifting to 'but teh games'.
Unbelievable. Oh and Gamepass is evil, right? Not meaningful at all? Watch the competition copy that too very soon next gen and getting praised for it by those same gamers.
It is my fault. I bought up games forgetting the Xbox defense force can't handle the topic and revert to two decade old accomplishmentsGood lord, can we not do the console war crap?
Using the Playstation against Menace is silly because he games on Xbox One.

I agree with your sentiment but I think it was MS that upped the clock speed of the Xbox One GPU to 853mhz from 800mhz. With the size of the OG Xbox One and the big fan, they had scope thermally to increase the clock speed.
I thought they like, doubled the RAM or something...
Kinda how it goes, and why competition is so crucial.No.
Forza Motorsport has bedn in decline for years now. Forza 7 is pretty poor in all regards. Funnything is now T10 are playing catch up with features GT Sport had years ago.
Get GT Sport now, bitch.No.

It has tte same competition if not more than ever,it isn't helping.Kinda how it goes, and why competition is so crucial.
With next gen so close it isn't worth it. I'll pick it up when I get a PS5 at launch.Get GT Sport now, b****.
Yet, I am STILL waiting on what Sony brought to the table...
