Microsoft is using Inside Xbox at Gamescon to promote XO19. Lol

I feel bad for the Inside Xbox team. How can you continously get fake hyped for Halo Liverys and other promotional s***?

Kick the can down the road to XO19.

I was surprised to see one of the girls there, I thought she had got let go recently...guess that doesn’t mean she could still host, just not a permanent employee of mixer

Xbox Project Scarlett will "see a big upgrade in CPU," says Xbox's Aaron Greenberg
Greenberg reckons next-gen consoles will invest more into CPU than GPU
Speaking with OXM at Gamescom 2019, Xbox general manager Aaron Greeberg said the next generation of consoles, especially Xbox Project Scarlett, will likely see greater CPU gains as opposed to the GPU boosts of the previous generation.
"We feel good about what we've done with the Xbox One X, and the same team that built that is also building Project Scarlett," Greenberg told OXM. "What we're seeing today is a huge upgrade in GPU - you can output in 4K, a lot of other benefits, memory structure and so on. For next-gen, I think you'll see a big upgrade in CPU because we want to make sure you don't have any compromises with frame rate. Yes we can do 4K, but we can also do frame rates up to 120. I think that type of capability will be something people don't see today. And then the high-speed instant gaming using solid state drives to enable instant resume, getting into games and being able to play by removing load times and load screens that exist today. That's going to be a huge change."
Greenberg's comments line up with the Xbox Project Scarlett launch date reveal at E3, the trailer for which essentially declared war on loading screens. Scarlett will undoubtedly deliver noticeable graphical improvement - if only by stacking supersampling and smoother frame rates onto current games - but the thrust of the console's marketing has focused more on technical and quality of life changes.
Boot and install times, the frequency of mid-game loading screens, instant-resume support, app and UI navigation speeds, and other features which don't directly affect graphics or gameplay can still have a tremendous impact on how new and powerful a console feels. Xbox Project Scarlett and PS5 will have more powerful GPUs, no doubt about that, but I certainly wouldn't complain if they leaned more on the CPU side of things in an effort to make getting into games less time-consuming.

Hulu Update

https://www.cordcuttersnews.com/hulus-new-user-interface-is-rolling-out-to-xbox-one-ios/

Back at CES in January Hulu announced a new grid guide and user interface. Now Hulu has rolled out the new user interface on the Xbox One and iOS with more device support coming in the months to come.

Update: Hulu reached out to Cord Cutters News to confirm that the new User Interface is live on iOS and for some Xbox One customers. Currently, the Xbox One update is in testing so some Xbox owners will get it but not all. If you have the new Hulu app on Xbox One you are one of the lucky Xbox owners to get a first look at the new user interface. The Apple TV update is still on its way and not live yet.

I've noticed Bard's Tale IV is on gamepass. Has anyone played this before and is it any good? I've been thinking of downloading it.

So I bought a Kinect, and just dance, do I need to plug it to the wall directly or is it ok to use it with a surge protector (I’m using an Xbox One X)

As Xbox Insiders, your feedback is incredibly valuable to help us test and refine features to ensure we’re delivering the best experiences possible on Xbox. In preparation for the October 2019 Xbox Update, we’re excited to share some more details on new features and improvements that will become available for you to check out soon.

Starting last week, Insiders in the Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha rings began to see a few of the below features on their Xbox One consoles. Xbox Insiders in Beta, Delta, and Omega Preview rings will receive these features in the coming weeks, in the lead up to our broader release.

Here’s a rundown on what’s new in 1910:

Wish List Notifications

We’re so happy to see everyone enjoying the Wish List feature on the Microsoft Store! The October update is adding more to this feature, starting with notifications that alert users when an item in their Wish List has a price discount. We know how exciting it is when a game you want goes on sale. The new Wish List notifications will make sure you never miss a great deal.

Mixer Viewing Improvements

Mixer and Xbox One are integrating further with the 1910 update. We’ve built a full Mixer viewing experience right into the dashboard, with a focus on speed and simplicity. Viewers will no longer have to navigate to a separate app to enjoy their favorite streamers. Getting to the Mixer content you want to watch has never been easier!

Recent Players Improvements

We listened to your feedback regarding the popular Recent Players feature, and its frequent use with large-scale multiplayer games. We’ve made significant improvements to the Recent Players experience. The service is now more reliable and allows you to connect with other gamers instantly. You can now more quickly and easily engage with your Recent Players, whether you are sending a message, inviting players to a party, or adding them to your Friends List.

More Flexible Capture Settings

We heard your feedback on wanting more control over your game capture experience. The “Allow game captures” setting now has multiple options, giving you a choice of what types of captures can be taken. You may now select between ‘”Captures by me,” “Captures by me or games,” or “Don’t capture.”

Recommend a Game Pass Title

In 2017, we announced Xbox Game Pass. Since that time, we’ve seen an incredible turnout of users joining the service that brings you unlimited access to over 100 titles and counting! If you’ve ever found yourself recommending these spectacular games to your friends, with the 1910 update, Game Pass users will have the option to do so directly from their Xbox One console. Discover your next favorite game and bring your friends along for the ride in October.

Under-the-Hood Game Update Improvements

With 1910, players can jump into their favorite games even faster! We’ve added improvements, based on your feedback, to background game updates, resulting in players encountering the “update required” screen less frequently upon launching a title.

subset of users may also see other experimental features that are not listed here. These features are only enabled for a portion of the Xbox Insider audience to gauge interest and collect feedback. Your participation in the Xbox Insider Program helps us improve the work-in-progress content and features coming to Xbox One.

As always, Team Xbox thanks you all your valuable input and participation in the Insider program. We’ll have additional announcements very soon on more exciting new features releasing first to Xbox Insiders, so stay tuned for more information.

So besides Halo next fall, what is the next big game for Xbox now that Gears has landed? Mean exclusives of course. Ori?

Launch of Scarlett. Hopefully they have a large offering of games to show soon. I'm sure Forza will show its head, too.

I'm not sure what to think, this looks European with the Scania?

The main benefit to me is if I wanted to learn more about trucking in other countries if I was interested in living abroad. I have thought about that sometimes.

I was expecting you to say “I do it for a living, f*** that.” Lol.

Well, yeah it's funny to see these games when I do this IRL.

Actually, I'm not sure I could do this in a Simulator with a game pad and no steering wheel or physical dashboard. It would mess with me at first.

I'd also have to have a bigass coffee.

It would be weird as hell without a steering wheel.

Also major bad habit from driving is swearing at cars. I couldn't play this game around 'polite' company for long.
