I want to play back through the Shining Force series on the Saturn.
I played through Shining Force I & II many, many times. Shining Force III was only partially available in the US on the Saturn if I remember correctly. I think the later parts of part III were Japan only. When I was in college, I played the Shining Force games on my genesis so much that the flashing movement range area was essentially burned into my cornea and I would see that when I was going to work.
Tried a bunch of games in Dolby Vision yesterday. As expected, Gears 5 and Doom Eternal (once you calibrate in the game) look phenomenal. Flight Simulator is much improved as well with the bright highlights finally being in an appropriate range. Control looked really nice too, nowhere near as overly contrasty as it once was. I was bummed to see that Horizon 4 isn't functioning in Dolby Vision at the moment, as it sounds like it was during the beta period. Hopefully 5 launches with it.
Any one else tried it out yet? What games do you recommend? Surprised there isn't more excitement about it, Dolby Vision has become the preferred HDR format standard among most AV enthusiasts and most all the top reviewed UHD discs received high scores for their Dolby Vision implementation. This is a huge win for Microsoft in my opinion, wouldn't be surprised if many AV enthusiasts would use this as a reason to choose Xbox over PS this gen.
I don't think most games are mastered in Dolby Vision yet with HDR10(+) still being the standard but that's changing with Dolby Vision's popularity. I think Samsung TVs don't support Dolby Vision and neither does the PS5 which is hurting its adoption but its only a matter of time.Tried a bunch of games in Dolby Vision yesterday. What you get?I'll be excited once my new TV arrives and I can try Dolby vision for myself!
Without numbers we can't say.As far as input lag is concerned with DV I just played Gears 5 and never noticed any lag whatsoever. Maybe if you’re a Pro gamer or play KBM but as someone who’s 41, felt the way it’s always played to me. It’s absolutely stunning so there’s no way I’d turn it off, maybe if there was some perceptible lag but it plays and looks fantastic.

I need numbers to believe.I don’t need numbers to know it played fine. It plays like it always has to me and that’s what counts. It’s got a significant visual upgrade to an already beautiful game m. I don’t need numbers to tell me if it’s enjoyable or not. I mean that in the kindest way possible, it just plays as usual, at least to me anyway so that’s all that matters. I’d suggest trying for yourself if you have a compatible tv. It’s stunning mate, no joke.
I need numbers to believe.
Playing it isn't worthy of claiming the input lag is good.Or you could do something really out there like just playing it lol.

Less input lag and reliable statements.whatever floats your boat.

Similarly, random numbers from a random site isn't worthy of claiming it's bad. I'm with Two Penny's, absolutely no noticeable difference in input lag from what I've played. Considering the speed of the game and enormous amount of time I've put into Doom Eternal, I definitely feel like I would have noticed.Playing it isn't worthy of claiming the input lag is good.

Tried a few more games out. I had never been able to dial in Maneater's HDR using the console calibration tools, as it seemed like the devs calibrated the game with an insanely high Nits target. Dolby Vision has it looking fantastic. Also thrilled to see that I'm finally ale to get a decent picture out of Cyberpunk using Dolby Vision. The colors still aren't perfect, as CD Projekt Red screwed up the HDR implementation (what a surprise!), but you can get a MUCH more colorful and dynamic picture using their in game tools via Dolby Vision now, easily the best the game has ever looked on console for my tastes.
Salty? You just come across as salty tbh and we all know why. Hint, it ain’t input lag pmsl
