I'm more curious about this than I thought I'd be.

I think what is needed in some of these reboots is to include the original cast in some supporting capacity while passing the torch. While flawed in other areas, this is an element of TRON: Legacy I liked and this might loosely apply to Blade Runner. I really wish this had been done with Robocop using Peter Weller in a supporting role and not necessarily appearing the same ( I heard he hates the hot costume and makeup ).

I also like that there is some restraint in the use of visual FX compared to the other reboot that had giant ghosts everywhere in cartoonish 'Scooby Doo' CGI.

I’m mixed about the color pallet, it’s more toned down, muted. But I guess it’sa bit more believable and reflective of the environment, ny is more intense. Well watch day one though

I think the old Firehouse will be shown at some point, but probably dusted off like that car.

It might be the different lighting or color is just suggestive of time passed and the subdued tone might be a sign they're willing to use Nostalgia in a more subtle way and giving some room for the new story and generation. I kind of wonder if Aykroyd tried to seriously dissect what is working and failing in reboots including what people are fed up with.

Looks good. I like the Stranger Things vide. How much is the original cast in this? Thought it was strange none of them are in the trailer.
i have a feeling they’ll show up around the end of the film...I think most of the og cast is in there, I forget the name of that one guy (honey I shrunk the kids fame) who retired from movies and rarely does vo work

Rick Moranis. I think his wife passed away and he wasn't willing to be a semi-absent dad on acting gigs with no mom at home or have to decide between taking them along or leaving them with relatives or a daycare service.

I'm not sure after all this time he'd come back just for a some kind of cameo.

dang, that sucks. I knew he wanted to be there for his kids but was unaware of his wife passing.

I know he’s done some animated movie voice over work for Disney. But it’s still be cool to see him return if he could. He wasn’t in the video game (that was really GB3 but couldn’t find funding to produce it) was he?
