Ghost of Tsushima - Directors Cut Rated By ESRB For PS4/5

I'm liking this a lot more since the last update and starting to unlock new moves and the ability to throw bombs and stuff. The story overall still seems boring though. So much of this has been copied from AC. I HATE following people and following tracks. That is not fun and idk why developers think it is.

Why is it dark so darn much? I'm getting mad at having to use the photo mode and adjusting the time of day to see what certain areas look like. Why can't the stupid flute make the darkness disappear? Tell me why.

The first time I saw in the menu that you could change what song the flute plays and that the one I had changed the weather, I assumed unlocking and equipping the other songs would have different effects such as changing time of day... a missed opportunity for sure, though I don't feel like it's nighttime an overwhelming amount myself...

You'd assume there would be a weather changing song, or even being able to sleep. It seems like fast travelling might be changing the time of day slightly, but maybe I'm imagining it.

I've been meaning to put this up here but I keep forgetting, it's a code for a Ghost of Tsushima dynamic theme, I like it more than the one that came with the game.

You are probably blocking me but I used the code. Thank you very much, I owe you.

I blocked you too.

I can't set the difficulty properly in the game. Right now it's too easy, but if I remove that lower intensity setting or whatever it's called, I get annoyed again. I just wanna be able to chop the bamboo easier and have more time to react to those face off things. Speaking of... idk how many times I challenge some goofball to fight, and they can't get into position in the environment, so I have to make the first move.

How long have you blocked me for?

What other reason is there?

This main character person reminds me of Geralt so much. He just doesn't have a good voice actor and it seems like he just doesn't gaf about anything.

Apparently if you use the accessibility settings, you can make the bamboo much easier. I don't have a problem with them myself, but I definitely read that you can do that.

That's what I did, but now it's too easy overall and you can't adjust the difficulty past easy anymore.

Don't you just have to turn off the assist?

I need it for timing purposes such as the bamboo stuff and the standoffs. I'm too lazy to switch it back and forth just for certain tasks. Many years of logging with chainsaws has caused nerve damage in my hands, and my finger dexterity has suffered greatly from it.

I had a glitch tonight where the dude's arms were stuck to his body at his sides. I could still fight with no arm animations and climb ladders which looked creepy.

Sorry to hear that bro.

I just started the game and I have to say I'm far from "Legend" status. More like "Pincushion".

haha... the combat seems hard at the start but once you get learn more stances and get them upgraded you'll be slicing and dicing through enemies without much issue. If you can aim fast enough the short bow is also great in close combat. I use it to head shot the big bruiser types when they charge as its a one hit kill.

I LOVE the combat in this game.

I LOVE the combat in this game.

yeah. It’s really excellent. It’s the best melee combat I’ve seen outside of dark souls. It’s so so well done and super tight in how it responds. One move I love is to switch stance half through a combo. You nearly always stagger any enemy on the receiving end.

I just made it to the next region last night and I'm not pleased with what that creep with the weird hat did.

Early impressions of this game are:

- Good looking game, but VERY heavy on the wind/debris/leaves to the point of it being distracting in some areas. I see why the samurai wore masks now. I'd probably give it an 8/10 for technical achievement and 9.5 for art style and atmosphere.

- Combat and gameplay is top tier. It feels very tight and responsive for an open world game. I also don't feel overpowered - if you go charging in you're gonna have a bad time.

- Sound is maybe the best I've heard this gen, just spectacular
