Giantbomb, The Jeff Show, Nextlander, NoClip, OutsideXbox...

Yeah that sucks but not surprised. This buyout has clearly pissed many at GB off and I dare say it will be gone completely at some point this year.

Just continue under different name? I mean, it's a podcast... They basically just sit around talking s***?

It's a lot more than that. They do a lot of other gaming content, make crap loads from subscribers and merchandise sales and other things.

Hopefully they do all set up another site and stay independent.

That's at least 4 who have left for to the merger.
Jeff will go next after its all completed.

Brad and Jeff are great people, the rest are okay at best and annoying af most of the time.

Can someone explain what's happening here? I've not been paying attention...
No insider details. Just that Brad, Vinny and Alex have given notice and Friday is their last day. Jeff is still staying. Again, no one knows what Giant Bomb is come next Monday.

I’ve only been listening to giant bomb for like 5 or 6 years, but really have enjoyed it. It sucked when Drew left.

but man, losing brad, alex, and vinny in one go is a huge bummer. Definitely wish them the best of luck in their next endeavors. I would not be surprised if Vinny and Alex take a huge break from being in the public eye. Maybe a twitch channel with streams here and there at best.

Brad has a tech podcast, so he is still podcasting.

I look forward to seeing what Jeff does moving forward. I’ve always appreciated his cynical gaming outlook lol, but I know he loves this s***.

like others have said, their E3 stream was the best.

I can't say that I will miss Alex Navarros annoying winy voice. Even though Ben is a bit of a naive semi mythomaniac, I feel the show lost the spark when he left.
This whole thing smells of corporate decision making at it's worst....I remember when they got critiqued about only being white males in the group and the tweet from Jeff about "new personalities and backgrounds" makes me wonder...

Notes about GB 2.0 from the Bombcast:

Planning to hire at least one more fulltime "on camera" personality and a few more production staff
Regular staff site will continue to do their regularly operated shows (Bombcast, Quick Looks, Friday stream, etc...)
While remaining a contractor, Danny is taking a more prominent role: Will continue to be on the Bombcast, but also Quick Looks, E3, and more
From there it sounds like GB is turning into a network of sorts, "GB and Friends"
So far they announced new shows from Jeff Grubb, Tamoor and Lucy from GameSpot (with Bakalar), Dan Rykert (with Bakalar)
Plan is to get friends of the site in to do some weird s*** going forward
First segment of today's Bombcast covered everything in greater detail, just posted the main points of the site going forward. I'm super excited, they all sound stoked.
