I understand that guy is a fanboy and shouldn't be taken seriously but its not even accurate. They have had 90s since Jim Ryan was in charge.

To some people I guess that extra 1-2% matters 🤣

As long as the game is 80+ I'm good.
As long as the game is fun I am good. I don’t go by any score. PS4 exclusive Oure received a 53 and I like it more than MANY 80+ games. I liked it more than Horizon ZD and FBW and more than any COD I have played in the past 10 years.

Just play whatever interests you. The ratings from others is irrelevant.

Destiny 1 got like 72% on Xbox...I put over a thousand hours into it. Psychnauats 2 got like 88% and I didn't enjoy it at all and only put in like 4 or 5 hours.

That is true. I played the hell out of Destiny 1 and 2 but moreso 1.

For the titles I'm interested in , I do check out reviews first to see how it is ngl.

Will never understand people who go off scores or awards rather than actually playing and enjoying the games themselves.
For the most part I agree, I mean if a game is scoring 2's/20's across the board yeah it probably is bad but if something does interest you why not check it out? That's one good thing about Sony and Xbox starting that demo thing later on, sadly they are behind paywalls, but it'll be nice to be able to check out games instead of having to buy them with no option to return something if you didn't like it.

Sleeping Dogs scored in the 70's but if I were a reviewer and giving it a numerical score, I'd give it between 8.5 and 9, I loved that game. Crackdown 3 has a Metacritic score of 60, I think that's too low, it definitely could have been better, but I had fun with it and would have scored it at around 7.5 for what we got which isn't a bad score it's good just not amazing. Scores are all subjective anyway, you may think something is a 10 and I may think it's a 5 but my opinion of the game shouldn't lower yours, you like what you like and that's all that matters.

Exactly.

I also enjoyed those games despite their scores.

Always go back to Deadly Premonition in regards to reviews.

Love that game but scores all over the place with IGN UK giving it a 8 and IGN US a 2.

Matt Hazard got low scores but it's a fun game.

Sleeping Dogs is one of the best GTA style games around.

On the other hand I find Mario Odyssey to be very over rated.

The more expensive one is already sold out, I'm sure the supply was very limited.

It’s been on and off, it’s also at other stores like Best Buy and Amazon (it was there maybe half an hour the PS Direxct Sore began to take reservations)

Shut I thought I posted links, my bad 😣

I only checked the two links you had in the original post, it was sold out in both the US and UK store at the time. I wouldn't spend $250 lol but hey if someone else wants to that's on them.

Can't pay their energy bills but will buy this. lol.
I used to buy collectors editions for games I was hyped about but I was finally able to kick that a few years ago lol. I'll buy digital deluxe editions from time to time that come with in game extras but now I couldn't care less about having a few extra pieces of plastic that just end up being put in a closet to collect dust.

Can’t believe these $200 editions don’t come with the disc, 😂 what’s the point of the steelbook?
That's been happening with these kinds of things for years now, I don't get it either and all of the companies that make these collectors editions have been doing it. Halo 5 collectors edition didn't come with a game in the case either, but I think MS got enough backlash and worked out a way for people to trade in the digital code for a disc. They tried to say it was because that version was coming out a week earlier, it's not like they wouldn't have discs printed a week ahead of time. I'm pretty sure after that when MS did make a collectors edition of a game that came with a steel book they included the disc.

It's because of the industry trying to push digital.

They are trying to include the digital console SKUs in their target sales market, in this case the digital PS5 owners.

Of course , they could always give a digital code along with a physical steelbook copy but then physical SKU owners could just sell the digital copy.

Not saying it's right but that's my hypothesis. You're basically paying for more than 2 copies of the game anyways at that price so might as well give us both is my opinion 😅
