Here is some info on the game, didn't really blow me away but they didn't give us a very good look at it either. I like the concept but I need to see more.
Keith Lee: This was rendered real-time in-engine. Those are playable characters, lootable weapons, and actual in-game environments.

Godfall is a brand-new IP set in a bright high fantasy universe filled with heroic knights, arcane magic, and forbidden realms. The world is split up into the realms of Earth, Water, Air, Fire and Spirit. In the trailer, the player is gazing up from the Earth realm towards the Water realm, which is the swirling maelstrom ocean sky above. The obelisk is known as the Skybreaker Monolith, which you will learn more about at the start of the game.

EEk, not a good showcase for PS5, tbh. I doubt this is in anyway indicative, but still... I'm getting Anthem/Destiny vibes for some reason. Graphics shown here barely look current gen let alone next. Weird that the dude is like "These are actually in-game", lol.

Also, can we all agree that putting "Fall" at the end of the title is cringey as hell now?

Yeah I'm guessing Sony probably would have liked to have let one of their 1st party studios show off what their console can do first, not sure why they allowed this, maybe it was just something to be nice to the dev? lol. When you look up close there are some nice details in the armor and someone on resetera says it looks like there is raytracing going on in the water but I don't know about that. I know the white hair looks current gen. Either way I'm sick of "in engine" BS because the games never look like that, there are people on era who think Hellblade 2 is really going to look like that during gameplay, that's supposed to be the "informed forum" lol.

Every bit of me wants that to be rendered real-time, but the Use of "In-Engine" says much. Now, it could well be a real-time cutscene (necessitating the modifier) as Senua's Sacrifice does use all real-time cut-scenes. He also used the words "as Developed", so that is something. To early to know, of course, but it's a good way to generate buzz. It's not that far fetched, tbh, if you look at how something like the TLoU 2 footage. That game doesn't look THAT far off, and it's current gen, so the possibility exist with that much more power.

Just got to wait.

As for this trailer... I'm not seeing any advanced shading going on, let alone any ray-tracing. Not sure where they are getting that...

Here is a quote from a post on neogaf, don't know much about how this works so I don't know if he's right or not.
This is almost certainly our first glimpse of RT reflections in a next-gen console, you can see the tree remains in reflections even when it's out of screen-space

Game looks great to me. Just doesn't seem to be my type of game. Has that multiplayer shared worlds but I guess with Co-op it might be worthwhile. I'm keeping an eye on it but I'm not on the hype train just yet.

That was my thought as well.

That gif looks much better. The reflection does indeed look like it's not disappearing, so perhaps. It's kinda hard to ssy for sure though

I don't think trailers with a ton of quick cuts do anyone any favors, the people who put these together need to let us digest what we are seeing before moving on.

Shouldn’t we be seeing the characters reflections in there too? Nvm. I see it.

I missed the trailer during the show except for the name screen. Seeing it now and definitely interested in it.

Godfall Details You Need To Know About
Talha Amjad
PC hardware enthusiast and avid gamer Talha Amjad has been creating content for more than 6 years now. He has worked with multiple brands and renowned websites. Tech and gaming are more than just work, they are a passion and way of life for him.
Godfall is the first confirmed game that is going to run on the PS5. We have seen a few glimpses of the game but here we have some new information that you might want to know about. Godfall is inspired by Dark Souls and other games. It is also going to support ray tracing.

The following are some new details about Godfall that you need to know about:

If Godfall Coming To PS4?

Godfall is intended for the PS5 and is “genuinely tailored to run only on Sony’s new console” according to PS Magazine. It also mentions that at the time of writing there is no PS4 version in the works and that there is not going to be a cross-gen patch.

Where To Play Godfall On PC?

At launch, the game will be available on the Epic Games Store only. It is a timed exclusive and could release on other platforms later on.

Inspiration From Dark Souls And Novels

The developer has referenced Monster Hunter: World in terms of gameplay. You have plenty of huge melee weapons that you can use such as Warhammer and human-sized swords. The game is also inspired by Dark Souls. You can have duels there are also elements of countering and landing heavy strikes.

The visual style of the game has been inspired by The Stormlight Archive, The First Law, and the Foundation series.

Ray Tracing Support

Godfall is going to feature ray tracing.

A Loot-Slasher

The game has been described as a loot-slasher and you will be excited to know that some of the team members have worked on Destiny 2 as well. So this is going to be an exciting co-op game with rich experiences.

Rewards For Aggressive Play

The devs have confirmed that the players are going to be rewarded for aggressive play. You will need to time every hit perfectly in order to deal the maximum damage possible.

Elemental Realms

The game is divided into elemental realms of Earth, Water, Air, Fire, and Spirit.

Armor Details

We have seen the big bulky armor in the teaser of the game. These armors are from one of the last remaining knight’s order. There are different types of armor called Valorplates. Your class is going to depend on the type of armor that you wear but you will be able to find new armor as you progress the game.

There you have it folks. Godfall is going to have elements of Dark Souls, Monster Hunter: World and even Destiny. Let us know what you think about the game and what you want it to be like.
