If it wasn't always online and uber repetative as I hear, I think I would be all over Godfall. As it is I'm going to have to wait for a substantial discount.

I am almost done with the game (in the Air Realm), and I had no idea that there was any online in this game. Still don't know where I would find that.

The game isn't bad. It also isn't great. A lot of the environments seem to be recycled, and everything is super shiny, like an old Unreal Engine game.

I will say that there is much they can improve in this game, and if they make a Godfall 2, I think it could have potential.

Weeee bit south. I do frequent Janesville though!
I was looking at Janesville as well but apartments were slim pickens. I grew up in Brodhead and have family in Beloit so that is more home for me now anyways.

Just finished the game. It gets better the further you get as far a combat goes. But yeah it’s pretty simplistic and repetitive. I would give it a 6/10. Probably wait till it’s $19.99 or on PS Now.

Started this game like a week or two ago and in the third realm or whatever. So far I'm enjoying it, although my brain sometimes wants to treat this game as more of an action combat game instead of more Souls-ey. I think my biggest issue with the combat is that it can be a bit slow/unresponsive, and the fact that you can't cancel an attack to block just means if you are trying to do one of the longer combos in the game and the enemy decides to attack, you're going to get hit. Now the parry and the timing for that is very generous in the game, so maybe that is the trade off.

I think the game looks really good visually with great use of HDR I'm guessing, as the colors really pop. Soundtrack is good as well. Only did a bit of co-op but game seems to be more enjoyable in that case instead of just solo.

Yeah I picked up this for 20 bucks recently. It is a really fun game. But combat RPG is exactly what it is. It’s not remotely comparable to any DS games. It’s way to easy and I’m playing on hard.
im only in the second realm so far but my main issue is with gear levels. Somehow I’m level 17 and the average level is difficultly is 13 so all the gear I’m getting is way below par. I guess it has to do with how you’re meant to focus on crafting but it still feels unbalanced to me. But like I said…. It’s a lot of fun to play.

Yea sorry wasn't very specific. My mind wants to play this game more like Ninja Gaiden or something, but it's not really that fast paced. More like Souls in the fact you attack, block/parry, attack etc and not just go in on the enemies. At least that's how it feels to me.

And yea same feeling on the gear here. I'm like 5 levels over the main story so the rewards for that are pointless. The sidequests and hunts I think scale better at least. I've been enchanting and upgrading weapons more recently, but costs a lot of materials to do that constantly.

Edit: Been a while since I played but maybe this is more like Ryse in combat terms.
