It's basically tricking the game into thinking it's another local player. It reminds me of the tunneling software people used to use to play Halo: CE online back in the OG Xbox days.

Yeah apparently quite a few N64 games do it on Switch?
Hopefully the remake is given the green light one day.

Controls iffy af on xbox even with the more "modern" control scheme lol
