Aw bummer. I remember him most fondly from the early days of SCTV, which imo were really funny. He had a big hand in getting SCTV off the ground, then went on to bigger things (lots of directing, some very funny stuff). Always liked him.'

p.s. I guess "passes" has spiritual overtones, and they want to be all Joe Friday about it, "just the facts."

Ok, I'm not going to score any sensitivity points from Plainview for this, but...

I work in publishing industry so the whole "print is dead" line is maybe a little extra funny to me, since it's something we deal with on a daily basis. And yet in the mid 80s when this came out there wasn't really any inkling of that change, certainly no Internet or no Internet in a recognizable form. At the time it was just a cranky line out of left field.

 
bummer. Was really hoping for the 3rd ghostbusters movie.

He directed two of my favorite movies of all time, Vacation and Caddyshack. The guy had a great mind for comedy.
