I'm actually happy with a game playing as the others. Not like we haven't had plenty of Batman games. My main worry was them doing another swerve and saying nah! Jokers the real bad guy again!
People are comparing Arkham Knights visuals to Gotham Knights visuals and are giving "WTF" reactions. Beauty is only skin deep.
I think people are probably not thinking about what else is going on under the hood and it kinda seems like the game might be CPU limited based on a couple of things. The devs saying that they cannot lower res and magically hit 60fps (dead giveaway on a CPU limited game and im not saying the CPUs of the next gen consoles are necessarily the limiting factor, it's more than likely their engine optimization more than the CPU's of the consoles themselves), and the fact that the games visuals do actually look dated.
There's probably a lot of simulation related stuff going on in the background, seeing as it is an untethered open world CO-OP game, lots of things that need to by sync'd network and simulation wise for that kind of thing.

I saw a bunch, for a long time I've read mostly negative comments about its graphics, animation and the combat. I haven't seen much positivity towards this game since it was first announced.
Also keep in mind that these consoles have something that's very similar to laptop Zen 2 CPU's, except the consoles versions have lower max clock speeds as they don't have the ability to boost like the laptop versions can. Again, like I said I think this has a lot to do with under the hood simulation stuff and their CPU optimizations more than anything, Will be interesting to see what the PC version performs like CPU wise.

I know they are already doing a suicide squad game so there is already a game about a DC "Group" but I think instead of this game they should have done a Young Justice game or a Titans game. That or finally make a good Superman game.
As long as they have Henry Cavell as face model.
Anyway, graphics & performance aside, am I the only one that think thec costumes look bad, particularly Robin. He looks like just having his shirt tucked out. I seen cosplays that look better.

Not trying to go too off topic but talking about superman games just made me think of the time I played Superman: The Man of Steel at E3 on xbox. It was displayed on an LCD tv/monitor during a time when most of us still had CRT tv's, I couldn't believe how blurry it looked in motion lol, it was awful. Of course, I bought the game when it came out, I don't think I finished it though.

They're popping up now. So far they seem to be pretty negative with Metacritic at 70 after about 50 reviews.
The IGN review is a 5/10 and PC Gamer is 49/100, neither of which are in the Metacritic calculation yet so I could see this below a 70 by the time the dust settles.
