We know Union picked Forza Horizon 2 as its GOTY, by a slim margin. Here are what some other sites picked:

Someone mentioned a site (besides ours) giving Forza a GOTY award, but I didn't see it listed on the wiki page. Maybe they'll chime in here. It's buried in the poll thread somewhere, but I don't feel like looking.

Re. DA, it won Best Singleplayer at PC Gamer, but I didn't list that. Apparently, PC Gamer has separate awards for best SP, best MP, and GOTY. I guess Alien Isolation (their GOTY pick) must have a really strong MP component.

I thought Alien Isolation was single player only?
 
I am more accepting of sites that include Forza Horizon 2 in their top five over any site that puts Destiny in there, let alone as GotY. The only people that should give an award to Destiny is Marketing Magazine.

I looked it up, and you're right. I don't understand how PC Gamer could choose Dragon Age Inquisition for Best Singleplayer game and then give GOTY to Alien Isolation, if it has no multiplayer. Doesn't make much sense.

Well in Sony's defence they didn't really have anything notable exclusive wise this 1st year. 2015 will be the year of the ps4 and if it isn't we have 2016 to fall back on.

I gave up trying to understand PC Gamer and their ways. Remember score wise, they've scored DA2(94) a bit higher than DA:I (87)
 
Interesting... no FH2 but then again the racing genre is a niche market.

Glad to see Destiny up there.
 
You won't find many racing games getting a GOTY. Doesn't make them feel any less enjoyable however.

Glad to see Shadow of Mordor getting some love, I haven't played Dragon Age in a good while though i will come back to it after some time with Unity, Far Cry and Horizon.

Neither had anything notable exclusive wise the 1st year and it wasn't much better year 2.

Yes, there has. Pretty much every Forza title is worthy of a GOTY nod. No doubt you will dismiss that, but its true. They are high quality, highly polished titles. Motorstorm Pacific rift was also worthy of a GOTY nod, IMO, it was actually my GOTY the year it released. Which is very high praise when you think that games like Mass Effect, Dead Space, Lost Odyssey, Burnout Paradise, GTA 4, Gears of war 2 ( I am a massive gears fan), Fallout 3, and MGS 4. If we look to the PC platform you also have a lot of worthy racing sims for GOTY too. Also, Mario Kart 8 is a worthy contender.

Just cause a genre rarely wins them in some unofficial website award does not mean they are not worthy of winning them. Just accept the fact that people are loving Forza Horizon 2. These are just opinions, no better or worse than the opinions of some gaming website.

I know you despise Ryse many didn't I really like the campaign and obvious graphics. Sunset overdrive is a cartoon on steroids and titanfall was the fastest multiplayer since the unreal and quake days. All these games for me are AAA. You should give them a spin.
 
FH2 is a great game and I agree with others opinions, to say we aren't being honest in our opinions only makes me wonder if it's because the accusers aren't always honest with their own to even think such.

The website that crowned FH2 their GOY is www.trustedreviews.com.

I was curious to see what some of the websites listed above thought of FH2 and the 1st 2 listed don't even acknowledge the game exists as nothing game up in a search on their website. Their loss.

It actually won the websites GOTY and public GOTY too. So many dishonest gamers, voting for games they do not like, shameful :txbrolleyes:
