Raytracing in cinematics only right now.

Aiming for perfect 4k/60fps.

――I'm looking forward to implementing ray tracing, but on the other hand, what game fans are interested in is where ray tracing can be used because it is very heavy processing.

Mr. Yamauchi: For the time being, you can choose ray tracing in the replay even during the game, and then you can see the stage demo and the picture with ray tracing applied in the garage.
――Isn't it really applicable while driving?

Yamauchi: That's right. It's really difficult while driving.

――I'm also very concerned about the performance of the game, but please tell us how far you are challenging, including the frame rate.

Mr. Yamauchi: First of all, I am thinking of achieving perfect 4K / 60fps.

No 120 fps support either.
――How about the 120fps display?

Mr. Yamauchi: We are aware of that, but we have no plans to support 120p at the time of the release of "GT7".

Haha I said after the FH5 reveal that ray tracing must be hard to implement while driving so fast, probably the first time I've been right about these things.

It makes no sense to use it on the cars while driving really, the only reason I thought it was in was because when DF were analyzing the first gameplay footage last year they said it was RT on the cars while they were going. They can fake it well enough these days it's not worth all of the other cutbacks it would take to implement it into gameplay.

Love it. However, I don't want a physical version of this game which I know goes against what other people complain about with these types of deals normally not coming with one. I still go physical for story based games that I focus on, but a racing game is something that I will be playing off and on too much to want to worry about a disc.

It includes a voucher code for the the ps4, maybe keep that, sell or trade in the disc…and maybe pay for the ten dollar upgrade to a ps5 version?

From what I understand, cars are really taxing on RT. Honestly, with how good cube-mapping is getting, the cost benefit is not as large. I feel like GI would be a better use for RT in that situation. I still don't know why they don't use screen space reflections for other cars and self-reflection like Drive Club did.

Wait “includes cutting edge ps5 quality models”? Does that mean we’ll see ps4 models in the ps5 version?
One of the things I've always loved about GT is the tessellation on the car models. It's something I'm surprised Forza hasn't done. It really adds that next level real feel to the cars.
