The spaces between realities!
GTA%20Tokyo-970-80.jpg

Not surprising. Even though GTAV is still getting played by a BUNCH of people, the game originally launched in 2013.
It makes sense that GTAVI would be already in the works at Rockstar.

However, the surprising (and also sad news IMHO) is that a main GTA game set in Tokyo was almost made, but cancelled apparently due to the layout of Tokyo itself.

Link to original article....

We already know that Rockstar plans to be at E3 this year since they did say they would 'be there in a big way'.

I really hope they consider taking the main series outside the USA again (GTA: LONDON 1969).

Anyway, where would you like to see the next main GTA game take place? If they are doing North America they need to go someplace different. As much as I liked GTAV and the 'West Coast' vibe, I think I'm ready for something fresh from the main series.

What do you guys think?

Aren't a lot of European cities kind of funkily laid out as well?

My Mom's family is from Italy and their city streets are some of the most claustrophobic I've seen.

North Korea! Imagine how fun North Korea already is, then add some video-gamey-ness!
Yeah, you could be a disaffected military commander and to go unnoticed and stealthy, you actually have to start beating and cappin' Civilians! A whole new gaming paradigm!!

Lets go back to the 80s.
I definitely wouldn't mind a different time period. They could go back to the 20's and out Mafia Mafia...

London also would be sweet- get that Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels/Snatch vibe.

Personally, I'd love to see Africa. It would be a very different experience, and the s***-storm of controversy would be delicious!

Nah, Boston isn't all that unique, visually. Europe would cool and different. Maybe some true Italian mafia. I still think GTA: Snatch Edition would be awesome.

It's the true birthplace of America. About time a top notch developer like Bethesda paid their dues with Boston being the setting for Fallout 4. It's no more exciting than New York and we got that setting how many times now? ;)

Nah, it's too similar and not all that large. If we are getting another city, they need a real change up, imo. f*** it, how about Edinburgh? At least you could get amazing scenery once you leave town. The area around Boston looks like everything we've seen. I spent a couple of years up around there and was never overly impressed.

My guess is it's somewhere in NA. Because I'm an American and the world revolves around me!

lol. Personally, as an American, I really want to see things I don't see every day. US cities are boring to look at, imo. I'd love a GTA Rome.

I'd really love an 80s vice city revisit. But if it had to be someplace new...I'd like a London type environment. Start out as a football hooligan like green street hooligans or football factory and go from there.
