Gremlins: Secrets Of The Mogwai

It's interesting, I think in the mix between Porgs and Baby Yoda, STAR WARS has been trying to get a version this. Of course, incidentally such characters are probably easy to make and sell as toys.
The people who created the Mogwai / Gremlins may as well jump back in while audiences seem very receptive to creature characters like this.

One thing that both have in common is both STAR WARS and Gremlins are old franchises, so they have a nostalgia factor.

I suppose next, we'll the the origin prequel to ALF or something.

Gremlins has the benefit of not being overly milked yet. They've tried to bring back ALF multiple times, but the creator of ALF is very strict in how ALF is portrayed and filmed, which has sort of led to ALF being dormant as a property. Nobody wants to deal with the headache.
