GRID Autosport (PC/XB360/PS3) Announced

I am going to be VERY hesitant about this game. I will see how it fares against the big dogs like Forza. It seems that Codemasters has had GRID all over the place. I didn't notice anything like tire deformation or damage in that video (unless I missed it). I did see some scuff marks on the rally car however.
I won't be the guinea pig for this....but will buy this if it is getting rave reviews.

F1 wasn't on next-gen either.
Why would you compare it to Forza ? This isn't an all out sim like racer like Forza. This should be compared to similar games, so stuff like NFS:Shift, Grid/Grid, and Forza Horizon( maybe this is the forza to which you refer?)
Oh, I had the impressions from the Youtube Video description, the video itself and the comments from you (more realistic racer), that this was going for more sim racing.
My comments were based of this little quote " For GRID Autosport we've gone back to a more authentic handling style. It's definitely not a full simulation - we want it to be authentic, not clinical - but it's more towards that end of the spectrum than before " So not sim, but not super accessible like Grid and mostly Grid 2. Think More PGR than Forza.
So, for all you guys saying no cockpit, no buy...eat crow. The game has not one, but Two cockpit views. Although, Visually speaking, this last-gen stuff is starting to look old.

GRID2 was the last straw for me. Unloaded it and never trusting that abortion that reside in the old halls of Codemasters again. CM is dead to me.
Well, if it's more PGR, that is fine with me too. I don't understand why they don't make a new PGR. You know how much people talk about PGR for [HASHTAG]#xbox[/HASHTAG]? It's like it would be an instant sale success.
If MS listened to us then we would have a new PGR and a new Ralliesport challenge, and a new Crimson Skies, and a new Links game, but nope.
Back on topic; Being more PGR like is never a bad thing. Is just a shame this game is not releasing on next-gen hardware. It looks a little dated on 360/PS3.

Me neither, but this is supposed to rectify that. Everything is sounding good to based on some gamer feedback who were lucky enough to get it early.
I would not say it sucks. It is better than Grid 2 but not as good as Grid 1. I am having fun and enjoying it but only in small blocks. Too much time and the A.I really starts to frustrate.
