Yeah, but he was talking about how it was dismal at launch with little content. Now it's overflowing with content. It would be rated 10 points higher today no doubt if it MS would have released a $60 game with $60 of content.

Same with GT Sport. It was a pile of s*** at release with no content and rated as such. Today it's awesome with lots of content and a campaign added.

I know what he was saying. Although, from a launch perspective I think it’s not accurate to refer to it as a failure. 2 million players in the first week is hardly something to disregard.

I think, at launch, that it did ok. I too wouldn't call it a failure in that regard. I call it a failure from MS not giving us the full game. I understand the game was supposed to be a game as a service, and I understand you were to make your own experiences. But we should have got a full $60 game at release, THEN, do games as a service with additional content at a price, maybe like Destiny 2, with seasons.

Many moons have passed, so I could be wrong, but I seem to remember it releasing at $40, not $60.

Sea of thieves launched at 59.99 USD. State of Decay 2 launched at 29.99 USD.

Where do I find pure water at night time? I'm at the laser device.

Haven’t been able to play it yet, but in the demo there was area before the laser where you could go left instead of right and knock water droplets down from plants.

Looking forward to playing this when I get back from holidays

First time I died was by a ladybug, lol.

Played it today before work for about 30 minutes with my nephew. I'm not a veteran of these survival type games, so don't have much in the way of comparisons but it was a fun little game from what little I played... Had an axe and a spear in that short time so it seems to progress a bit quicker than the few other games of it's ilk I've dabbled in...

I played for like 3 hours last night with 3 other friends and had an absolute blast. Bugs(pun intended)/glitches/unfinished things aside.

There's a pretty steep learning curve, just an FYI. The game is pretty unforgiving lol. Also, there's a lot of base building and crafting involved, so you'll need to work together as a team.

Agreed. I would say the best option is to go into creative mode first and learn the ropes and how to play. That's what my group did last night.

I played the preview before, but just started the actual game last night.

Where do you get the axe??

You'll need fine weaved plant fiber, a pebble, and another thing called like a "stig" or something. Check your crafting menu it'll tell you how to craft stuff.

Also make sure you regularly check the computer thing, as you pick up different stuff you can "analyze" it and it unlocks different recipes or plans.

I find it weird that this is the way they decided to go with this game! Such a cool setting that I feel is a little wasted on this gameplay! It looks great and not saying the game is bad, but man this could have been so much fun with more platforming controls!

I like it so far. I think it is more in line with how it would be should someone be shrunken so small, as in fighting to survive. I will say that I was thinking about it yesterday that it does push you to find food and water fairly frequently, and I feel that given a scenario of shrinking to a fraction of the size, the need for food and water would likely decrease exponentially as well. That seems an overlooked detail to me. I just think the energy and hydration to power such a smaller body would decrease drastically.

That and honestly eating/drinking in games is an overly tedious aspect of any game it's included in IMO. They need to cut the food shortage down a bit. There's only so many mushrooms to pick at the beginning while you're building a camp lol.
