Guardian’s of the Galaxy

Well, I didn't finish reading the Forbes article to the end so I missed out that part. Hence, the assumption. Now that I did a little more searching, it turned out they did shoot some vfx scenes in 2K. Oh well. A little disappointing! Such is the case with many digitally shot 4K movies and 4K Blu-ray transfers nowadays.

"Make no mistake, the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray DESTROYS the Blu-ray in every possible way... I'm not kidding or exaggerating. No hyperbole whatsoever. The difference is visible and dramatic...

The Blu-ray is like watching the movie with sunglasses on, where as the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray is like watching after you've had laser eye surgery.

...unless there are serious flaws hiding somewhere, Guardians Vol. 2 is probably going to set a new standard as the best, demo-worthy 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray the young format has ever seen... this movie looks bolder, brighter, and more colorful than "Pacific Rim" and "The Great Gatsby".

At a glance, it comes across like he was mocking Victor Salva(Jeepers Creepers) who he had the misfortune to be near at a convention. Sarcasm doesn't always translate well online, especially in a Tweet out of context.

Not going to be so hyped for #3 now

How exactly do you get fired for doing something you apologized for before even getting the job?

Pretty much my take. Dude owned up to it. Dude apologized for it. Disney knew about before even Guardian 1. Dude took it as a learning experience, improved himself, and grew since he made those comments.

The alt-right f***s attacking on the other hand, have said just as, if not more horrid s***, but have never owned up to it nor grew as people. That's what is pissing me off. Disney just totally gave these alt-right c***s more power and that is a big mistake.

RIP Deadpool, you're probably too edgy for Disney.

Wolverine smokes all the time so that would be one trademark gone

Disney should fire themselves.

But yeah even then Gunn shouldn't have been making pedo and rape jokes on Twitter

Will large media companies stand for this like Disney/Marvel? So he got Gunn fired, but possibly caused a real annoyance with the MARVEL movie machine.

Consider what a massive multi-film crossover project Marvel has become spanning about 10 years and nearing a major year of Captain Marvel and Infinite War 2. They may have been putting together the treatment for GotG 3 when this annoying gnat ruins everything.

Basically, I'm wondering if a guy like this will find he picked the wrong battle and Disney has the pull and influence to have small fries like this destroyed.

I would like to see Gunn do an indy comic like Paul Chadwick's CONCRETE. Possibly, what he learned bringing Groot to the screen could be applied to this character in terms of CGI, acting, and motion capture.

Concrete is not exactly a superhero, but a person caught in an extraordinary life changing situation he struggles to adapt to and keep his sanity. If done right, this story hits hard in the feels and is a Human Condition story seen through a person no longer quite human.

Bautista is awesome because is straight up telling you what he thinks.

Chris Pratt is just tweeting cryptic bible quotes instead.

Someone’s still gonna get paid...

https://io9.gizmodo.com/marvel-may-use-james-gunns-script-for-guardians-of-the-1828199473

According to the Hollywood Reporter, multiple sources have said Marvel is likely to use Gunn’s script for the sequel, but will not ask him back to direct. That potential decision means his representatives and the studio are “locked in complicated negotiations” over contracts and credits—but the report suggests that ultimately, Gunn may get up to $10 million for his work on the movie since there was no breach of contract.

In addition, two sources told the trade that Marvel is still open to working with Gunn, if not on Guardians, then maybe on other projects. “An end-all verdict hasn’t been issued and conversations with Marvel are still ongoing,” according to one source. Why the company would decide to do that in the wake of the current situation was not clear, and Disney, Marvel, and Gunn’s representatives all declined to comment to THR.

Until that’s all settled, Gunn can’t move on to other projects, but according to the report, he’s “been approached by several top producers and executives at major studios dangling big film projects.”

Chris Pratt sucks. He's the Luke Bryan of Hollywood. A talentless phony that's able to trick **** people into liking him.
