It's a buy. There's some slight hesitation due to some technical issues, but overall...good.

Personally, I'll wait on this one. Hoping it gets on Game Pass in the future.

Looks great, since I got Gamepass going I'm not inclined to buy full priced games anymore (except the big AAA ones) so I'll wait for it to go under $30 and it's a buy (or if Gamepass before that).

Yep, and I do the rewards on Xbox, so I could knock off a huge chunk of the price tag.

Yep, plus you know any game in Oct will be marked down in a month for Black Friday.

Game is pretty damn good on XSX. Quality mode is abhorrent though. Stick with performance. And...maybe avoid it on PC, sounds like a mess there.

From PC Gamer:

"This makes Guardians of the Galaxy a difficult game to recommend right now. Something clearly went awry during development, because it's weird for a singleplayer, linear game to have so many bizarre performance issues. This level of jank is expected in the high-entropy continent of Tamriel, not in a series of combat arenas and connective tissue. The closest analogue I can think of is Jedi Fallen Order; another Disney property that shipped with a well-hewn narrative, some neat combat tricks, and a boatload of sundering technical hangups. Unfortunately, I don't think Guardians is quite good enough to offset those problems the way Respawn did."

Does it feel like a Marvel Uncharted because been hearing that a few times now.

Yeah, that's an accurate description. Lot of chatter between party members which is awesome imo. Game is super linear with smallish areas you can investigate for parts and costumes.

Thinking of getting this for the PS5. I'm down for linear Uncharted Marvel style.

Day 1 patch incoming?

Otherwise WTF. Just traded a bunch of games towards it just now at Gamestop 🥲

No day one patch, this is the game. I thought perf mode looked higher than 1080p but I did try quality mode for about a half hour and then went back and the resolution does tank quite a bit. Still really playable though.

BTW, I agree with the title of this video (best part of the game). Sh*t is so corny but it's awesome

Really surprising if it is 1080p/60 but I guess we'll get confirmation soon from the usual analysts - DF, VGTech and NXGamer.

I had very low interest in this game, but watched DrLupo play the first 2-3 chapters last night and it actually looks pretty good. Don't really care about Guardians though. Would rather see an X-Men game in this style.

Just played through Chapter 1. Liking what I'm playing so far. Gameplay is fun (does feel sort of like Uncharted but superhero Marvel style) and the constant bickering between the Guardians is hilarious. Fluid combat using Starlord's own shooters and balancing other Guardians' abilities. Huddle function is great. I am glad they are doing a new storyline that doesn't follow the movies.

I flipped back and forth between quality and performance mode and I didn't really notice a huge drop in visual fidelity in 60fps mode so I'm going to continue playing in performance. Resolution looks sharp in performance, seems like dynamic 4K or at least 1440p to me on a 55" 4K TV sitting about 7-8 feet away.

Can you turn off the team chat during combat? That's what's really putting me off having them talking constantly trying to be funny
