Never really liked the series style, much prefer kof and sf, but the latter gg do animate pretty awesome.

They did. I hope it's nothing like that. Maybe they're changing the game is played to make for a more cinematic fight experience? It kinda looked like the camera view kept returning like a traditional fighter after specials and overdrives. So, there's that.
Exactly 4 hours from now we'll get some news, hopefully a new trailer or character reveals?

Arc System Works will host an open beta test for Guilty Gear: Strive from February 19 at 12:00 JST to February 21 at 23:59 JST on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, the publisher and developer announced.
Users who pre-order Guilty Gear: Strive via the PlayStation Store will be able to access the open beta test a day early on February 18.
Guilty Gear: Strive is due out for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam on April 9. The Deluxe and Ultimate Editions will launch for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 three days in advance on April 6. Read more about the game here and here.

Total worldwide shipments and digital sales for Guilty Gear: Strive have exceeded 500,000 units, Arc System Works announced.
Guilty Gear: Strive launched for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam on June 11. The Deluxe and Ultimate Editions launched on June 8.
The game was last reported to have shipped 300,000 units on June 14.
Arc System Works also teased that it will announce the first Guilty Gear: Strive downloadable content character during a live stream on July 20 at 6:00 p.m. PT / 9:00 p.m. ET. You will be able to watch it on YouTube (English, Japanese).
