Halloween is here! The Halloween Thread!

Don't think I'll dress up. My neighborhood doesn't have alot of kids. The first few years we moved in, we decorated the front and had loads of candy. After a few years, we learned our lesson. We still decorate a little, but hold back on the candy stash. We get 2-3 kids, if we're lucky.

I don't decorate, but I wish I did. I would want to do it big and that's why I don't decorate.

My wife likes to decorate. I use to do cemeteries or something along those lines, but too much work and no one else cares. A little is enough.

We use to do those Host a Murder games and decorate the house according to the story. Those were fun.

My wife loves to hand out candy, but the past couple of years we get nobody. Not sure if just all the kids in my neighborhood just grew up or if fewer and fewer trick or treat anymore.

I just moved to an apartment for a new job to and working a weird second shift schedule so I'm not even around to do things Halloween night. Maybe people at work will bring in candy lol.

Generally for me, during this time I go out of my way to watch good horror flicks and I enjoyed kicking that off with IT.

I recently watched The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and would like to watch the 2003 version before seeing the new prequel LEATHERFACE coming out soon.

Yeah, my wife and I are into good narrative horror stories. Been watching a few. This is, by far, my favorite time of year.

I make it a point to enjoy this time of year because I find Christmas really annoying. I mean it's nice to see family and all and I really like Thanksgiving, but it's nearly become a 2 month XMas Holiday time and I get really sick of it. f*** it, bring on Festivus.

Been here almost 7 years and don't remember ever hearing anyone come in. For the most part while I've lived here there has only been one family with children so no one even within the building knocking.

You have a lot of kids in your neighborhood? You could always set p shop in front of your building, assuming there's room.

Not that I know of. At least the nearby several blocks it's mostly apartments on my side. There is housing on the other side of the road but no clue on the kids. At least driving home I see plenty. Oh well I'd end up eating all the candy before the day got here anyways.

I really, really wish Halloween was a thing here in Oz. I'm so jealous of how huge it is in the states. It's my birthday, so every year I have a costume party and try to put a Halloween spin on it, but the only people who normally dress up are 18-25, and 45+ years old. It's like that middle demographic is too cool for school.

Supermarkets are starting to cash in on it though, and they sell those big orange pumpkins like you see in the movies for a short time, and they have some tacky props.

When I was a teen, I went trick or treating in my home town, and the houses that didn't have lollies gave me money! I got about $80!

Anyway, this year I'm opening up my new salon and coinciding that with my birthday, so no Robin costume for the first time in 8 years. :(

It's all about pumpkins mah bois. I'm either going to repeat my Hamburgalar costume or do some simple make-up. Although I've been wanting to just get devil horns, a devil tail, the little pitch fork, and some red pants for a while now. Nothing fancy, but enough to have some fun photos with family and friends.

When the hell did you get married?
Oct 13th. So I've been married less than a week, lol.

Congrats man. Where will you be going? Hopefully not a place that's been too devastated?
Thanks! We're going on a cruise to the Bahamas, starting out of Jersey, stopping in Orlando, then moving on to Nassau and one of Royal Caribbean's private islands. Bahamas have faired pretty well all things considered, so we should be alright.

Man I need to start watching horror movies this month.

Son #3 on the way and she could be having him any day now. The boys have costumes I might take them to a few places the Churches have some cool stuff for kids in my area.

Awesome man! My anniversary is Oct. 10th. The Bahamas and Caribbean should still be plenty nice this time of year (temp wise). I've always had fun down there.
