Halloween Kills **CONTAINS SPOILERS**

This movie was originally supposed to come out this year with the third film "Halloween Ends" coming next year but they have pushed this movie to October 2021. I know this teaser isn't much but I really like it, I think Jamie Lee Curtis does an awesome job in this very short clip.

I like how they are explaining how he got out but man that green screen work is AWFUL lol. Overall looks good, I still miss the slower pace of the original and Halloween 4 but this makes him look like a killing machine.

Supposed to have the biggest body count of any Halloween film to date. There are rumors (which I hope to be true) that it's hitting theaters on the 15th and will be available for at home streaming 2 weeks later so people can watch it at home on Halloween. I'll definitely be watching it opening day, but I'd totally splurge on watching it from home on Halloween as well.

It just makes it more believable. At some point, you'd need more than just the local police dept.

Yeah they said that with all the kills they showed in the trailer that's just a small portion of them, I know Carpenter had said a while ago that this one is unlike any Halloween before as far as the kill count.

The previous Halloween film was absolute perfection. I felt like it was commentary on the state of horror films, and despite being a part of a big franchise, provided an art house style of filmmaking.

Edit: Ooh didn't realize Danny McBride was one of the writers of the film (as well as the upcoming sequel).

Same, I don't think they expected the film to be such a huge hit too. That one continuous shot of Myers going on a murder spree is still amazing to watch. I really hope they do more stuff like that. It makes everything feel really in the moment, plus gives you an example of how stealthy Myers is. Almost makes me wish we got a game more in that style.

Yeah that long shot was great, his reflection in the window and then the way he slammed that ladies face into the window ledge before shoving the knife through the back of her throat was crazy.

If it's "free" on Peacock, and doesn't require a $20 watch like Disney+, I may end up watching it at home early the morning it's released.

EDIT: it does appear to be free to stream with a premium subscription.

EDIT #2: It sadly looks like Peacock still only supports HD streaming. No 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision, or Atmos. Unless they launch it with this, I may still hit the theater for my first viewing and rewatch later in October via Peacock. We'll see.

Looking forward to this movie, I know it's the middle of a "trilogy" so it won't have a true ending but it looks like fun. I just hope all of the men aren't useless idiots like they were in the last movie.

So question for someone who has only seen the original Halloween and no sequels.. It's my understand that the previous Halloween (2018?) comes after the original, then this one, and then finally Halloween Ends? Like they've retconned all the other movies after the original? Just wondering if I catch the 2018 one quick and then watch this one if it matters that I didn't watch all the others.

Yes just watch the OG film, the newer film, then this upcoming film. Everything else got tossed.

Cool. I actually have the collection on Blu-ray but only watched the original lol. I'll get to the others at some point still.

Anyone going tonight?

I decided to watch at home. I have tomorrow off, going to wake up early, brew some coffee, and start the day off with the movie! Might see it in the theater later in the month.

I accidentally have a free premium subscription with Peacock. So watching on that.

I tried the subscription for a month, but a day or 2 after subscribing, Google refunded my subscription (which is how I was paying). Peacock tells me to go through Google to cancel and Google tells me to go through Peacock to cancel. So, right now, I'm not paying anything. That's what I told them and kept the chat transcripts.

So, yeah, watching Michael Meyers tomorrow on Peacock. Tempted to watch the first one before.

I'm listening to the premiere listening party for the new soundtrack while drinking a pumpkin beer, getting hyped.

Rumors that this is the most violent and body count filled Halloween movie proved accurate.

There are a number of things I didn't love about it, but it's also got some fantastic moments if you're a fan of Michael Myers. Soundtrack is absolutely fantastic, maybe even better than the last. I've already started my second watch.

Not a great movie not awful either, brutal which is fine but it didn't really feel like a Halloween movie to me.

I do think 2018 was a better movie, some silly things done in this one but Michael is a killing machine. It could be that after Halloween End's comes out that this one improves because it will be the middle part of a longer story vs being the middle part of an incomplete story.
