They need better management at the top of the studios , I do not know who hires for that but that would be a good start.

they did spilt Bonnie’s roll into three, and the guy in charge is the one who turned MCC around. Now it’s just a matter of time, recollect themselves and all that other stuff to get past this.

And Minecraft and Forza would be in said valuable IP…I think he just spray that out and just realized that later.

We don’t know the full story though, I’m sure eventually there’ll be some deep dive story about it all, online or in a book, later, maybe even this year

The bottom line is Halo was supposed to do numbers like the old Halos, Some times I also blame the fans for trying to keep the game feeling outdated. They are people that had to go and it is all about cleaning the house. If you don't get rid of the people that failed, you will never grow and stay stuck. 343 did 4 Halo games and they all had some kind of issues that people didn't like.

Personally, Infinite does not have enough content to play.

It needs career progression, a list with forge maps included, and some sort of PvE element. That would really move it forward.

It did better than old Halos. Halo3, the biggest seller, did 12 million. Infinite did 20+ million players.

but the cries were different online because all I see is nothing but hate for Halo.

I just going to have to accept that everyone doesn't like Microsoft, even though they are responsible for most of the innovation for gaming today. They will never do things right, no matter what. Sont will do everything to make sure that stays that way and try to slow down Gamepass as much as they can until they come up with theirs.

Clearly, the Japanese won't support Xbox. Sony keeping almost everything away from Xbox, including the FF titles.

Microsoft needs to play hardball and hell with everyone and just start striking down everything. I mean if they are the bad guys, they might as well play that role.

There is no but. Infinite did better numbers.

The cries are because the game simply wasn't and still isn't finished and 343 haven't helped themselves by taking ages to fix things and add content. You can't say this is because people hate Microsoft. The complaints are valid, and Halo isn't the only game to get a lot of hate and lose ridiculous player numbers for its poor state. Battlefield and COD have both had it too.

I always think it's interesting how "unique" video game deveopers think their work environment is. Oh, you're expected to get your job done at any time of the day and hit timed goals that may require tons of overtime to make happen? So you're like pretty much any other salary job? Cool, welcome to being an adult. Good luck finding a new job after publically blaming everyone else for your layoff.

The problem is that people just think IT can be in "crunch mode" 24/7/365 and it isn't realistic. There's one thing going hard as a deadline approaches, but mostly the "crunch" just becomes the norm.

That simply leads to burnout and poor code quality. Poor code works in the short run, but costs you time down the line anytime you need to touch it.

It isn't just treating people horrible, it leads to worse products over the long haul. What exactly has this work environment gotten us from 343? Even if the ends justify the means, we don't have the "ends" to justify anyway.

"Are you done playing Halo Infinite?" sounds pretty fake. You'd think they'd ask, "How often do you play Halo Infinite?" with multiple options, one of them being "Never".
I’ve had questionnaires come in for Xbox in my emails before, I’m in the Xbox, Sea of thieves and halo insider programs. But they’re always labeled surveys, in the email, never have they mention or kept Xbox atop said questions.

It’s definitely fake tho, look at “Research”, from the tweet preview alone (on my phone) you can see it’s larger and off alignment, wtf isn’t it centered, I think I know how Kvally feels when werds aren’t spelled correctly and or grammar ;)

Doubt they’ll switch to unreal…if they do I’ll eat a McGriddle.

I think it has to. This new engine clearly has issues. Reminds me of the god awful engine Bungie uses for Destiny.
But aren’t studios like Bethesda and rockstar using archaic engines and they (RS primarily) looking good/great?

I’m pretty sure UE5 uses old tech/code, on there somewhere, for compatibility with older engines, no?

It isn't about age. More about ease of use, efficiency, adaptability, etc.

True, but with age comes wisdom and knowledge that can make it easier for one self and others…. Then later become said skills. Cus they’d have to learn something new, and see if what they got works or can adjust to what makes a game feel like a halo game.
