I tried playing this again today for the first time since March. I just can't get into it. I'm about 5 hours in and it seems like I'm doing the same thing over and over. I don't care about the stories in these games. Does the game ever do anything different later on other than imitate Far Cry?

The main story is 11 hrs according to howlongtobeat so you're about half way into the game already?

Have you tried multiplayer?

I was in it for the story and exploration…. to me it’s more botw with pew pew

They should’ve included a blood moon tho, with a twist

I'm probably not even halfway through. I just wander around looking for ways to get in/out of bases, raise things to blow up, help out humans being tied up by electric ropes and other not so fun things.

Very early on, but I didn't care much for it. I usually won't play MP games where I have absolutely no idea on rules or how to play. I miss games like Soldier of Fortune 2 where I joined a match and killed anything that moved. I usually only play against others in FH 4/5 because I know what's going on...usually.

Well there is the open world parts. But there is also the traditional linear campaign parts too.

Simple answer: No it doesn't.

Is that what they’re calling it these days?
Funny thing is, the only pausing that happened is when I went into the menu to make changes and go back into the game. He's salty that I enjoyed the game, and it took that long to complete it and enjoy it.

You must be playing it at a turtle's crawl lol what you been doing in there, exploring every nook and cranny (not that there's anything wrong with that)? 🤔

Based on those leisure time is 40+ hours. It isn't a big leap to accept 50+hours. Hell, those Skulls are a pain to find and the majority played the game before chapter replay was a thing.

Not to mention, I only have like 2 or 3 skulls. Some skulls are in the open world. But some are in the campaign linear missions. Since they didn't have chapter/mission select, no way was I going to play the game through again to get missed skulls.
