I shouldn't have to chase someone after starting a shootout and then reload while chasing them.
It's terrible.
Needing to rely on terrible TTK isn't skill.
Lol, then Halo isn't your game.

Each encounter is a battle and getting the drop on someone isn't a guaranteed victory. You have to still be good after you maneuver. You don't have to reload if your aim is on point. Plus it encourages you to use your grenades and melee depending on the situation. Each encounter is dynamic and is what makes Halo so good.

It's also why it's so refreshingly different than other shooters. We don't need another COD or Battlefield. There are enough of them.

It's not main game worthy no.
But it's the best Halo I played since Reach.

You don't play those types of games though.

If you did and you matchmaked against some of these squads you would see.
Again, this is more of a commentary on the fact that teamwork is important and works better in team-based game modes then a bunch of individuals running around trying to make something happen on their own.

This is true. Two people running together in Halo will always trump solo players (unless they're gaming gods)

Make Halo more like COD?

After enjoying the beta I was fine with TTK. Made me come up with different play styles depending on what weapon I had in the Big Team mode. Now the 4v4 the TTK can be annoying at times, but you can’t just run and gun like in COD you should stick with a teammate.

I’m excited for this games MP looking forward to release.

The TTk is fine, the real issue is that starting guns like the AR really stop being effective at any real range, which is ok, but can be tough on some of the larger maps. If people have the longer range guns you can easily get spawn pinned.

The radar range is shorter than in past games though so you can flank around a lot easier.

You pretty much have to pick your engagements. You can't just shoot at every target you see. If you have the AR and someone is far away right near a door, don't even waste ammo on them. Get closer and/or team shoot.

I think this is okay to a point. In any team-based mode you have to consider how your actions may affect the team. It is often better to put shots on an opponent you may not kill because that could be the difference in your teammate winning a firefight with that opponent. In addition, if you are on the receiving end of a bad situation, then it is best to prolong an engagement and waste your opponents’ resources to make it easier on your team. The problem is most people concern themselves more with their individual performance than their contributions to the team. I am guilty of that myself from time to time. Skill is great and all, but great teamwork wins out over individual skill most of the time.

It seems like more of a map balance issue. Once the team gets the good weapons and holds the power positions, it can be difficult to counter and just sort of steamrolls. The one beta map which was all the buildings was just kind of tough as there was nothing useful close to spawn.

There's just too many spots on the map where I feel like spawning there is just death.

COD is all about individual performance, Halo, you need a good team and know how to play the ROCK, SICCOR, PAPER, SHOOT!

Nice. I was reading that as you posted it. Glad to see MS still isn't doing $70 games.

They got a year of extra dev time and still couldn't get RT in? they said it wouldn't come at launch when it was scheduled to come out in 2020, I guess everything got pushed back a year + along with the release date. They also have only confirmed that it's coming to the PC version, IGN asked about xbox and haven't heard back yet.
