I gather they have to recuperate that $500 million in some way or another.
Been playing Splitgate on Xbox (literally a Halo clone) and it's got me pretty excited for the beta
that new death animation is a pretty cool trick, this game will be da bomb!
That sounds like a really convoluted way of saying they are copying the COD model which is fine.
Most battle passes have stuff you get free, but to get everything you need to pay. In other games, if you don't pay, you still level up the pass, just don't get all the rewards.
It sounds like you won't have an overall character level, which is just fine. Some people like grinding that stuff, but it is a meaningless number.
Paid passes for the "free" multiplayer and $60 for the single player only at launch campaign is a hard sell.
I think I'm just going to play the free portion and kick it to the curb unless it wows me.
That's perfectly fine. Usually the junk in these passes aren't worth it anyway.

Progress what? It doesn't say that. Every battle pass out there can be leveled up without buying it.
You're not going to have some overall character level, but so what, it does nothing anyway? Most games reset that every season now anyway.
Destiny and Fortnite also use BP's , Destiny for loot items and Fortnite for skins and items. Wonder what Halo will give you? Probably perks and skins/items?
You will probably get some stuff but not everything. People who pay will get maybe better weapons/perks/items just like any other BP to entice you to pay to win.
What progression system do you want? I honestly don't get what you want that you can't have. Games don't do the old COD prestige system anymore, COD even dumped that mostly (it resets every season).
Most battle passes go to 100 and that's the only progress. Either you pay and get more stuff, or don't and get less.
Yup. It's a lot of fun too, really feels like Halo 2 without vehicles.
This is confusing as s***. So there's a three hour window where you can't play? Also it stops at midnight EST?
The article you keep posting does nothing to explain it either. Them saying "there's no XP" doesn't even make sense. Most people are assuming it is going to work similar to every other battle pass out there.
Nobody cares about battle passes. If the game is fun to play, people will grind it out. If the game isn't fun, nobody will care about cosmetics for it.
