The funniest comment was the guy who jumped in to rain on the Xbox parade, lol.

Am I the only one jonesing for another Halo novel already? It's funny I like the side stories better than the Cheif stories. MCs have more action, but the stories for Rion and Spark or Kilo Six are more interesting.

I have never read a Halo book. I actually am NOT a fan of science fiction. I mean, I love Star Wars and Halo, but that is pretty much about it. And I think my love for Star Wars is more the characters and nostalgia from seeing it when I was little.

I don't dislike SIFI, and I wouldn't object to reading a novel one day. I do love my action books that is for sure.

They have them in audio format

I read through Contact Harvest and really enjoyed them all a lot. The Flood was a bit dull just because it was literally Halo CE, but First Strike and Fall of Reach were awesome books.

Didn't realize there's like a million now! Might have to start reading again lol

The side stories are definitely kinda more Star Wars, even though I think it's good solid SiFi

I'm typically more into Fantasy/Medieval settings, myself.

The Universe and Lore is sooo much deeper than what we see in the games. The Forerunner stuff is pretty awesome.

The Kilo Six books are like Black Ops- post covenant war.

The Kelly Gay books (Renegades, Smoke and Shadow, and point of light) are about some grey area salvagers- the leader of which is the daughter of of Halo Wars' Sgt Forge- who get mixed up with some big events involving a well known AI while trying to find the Spirit of Fire that lead pretty much right up to this next game.

The Troy Denning books are about Blue Team and feature the Master Chief's exploits right up to Infinite as well. More military action than the Kelly Gay books as those are the rogue misfits pursued by the UNSC.

Good Stuff.

Are there any books that build up to Halo Infinite story for someone like me who hasn’t read any Halo books?

Shadows of Reach, probably. Not knowing the Story in infinite makes that hard to say. There does seem to be something very important Blue team is fetching in that one.

The Last 3 Kelly Gay books have some big implications for the forerunner side.

Yep. Way of kings is still my favorite. Kaladin in the shattered plains when he first learns to lash for real... so epic
Seriously. I bought it just because it was rated really high. Had no idea what it was about and I've gotten my brother, my son, and my daughter hooked on them. Just finished the first Mistborn book too. Love Sanderson

Yeah, we all read his books - one of the most imaginative writers out there. Only problem is the dude writes like five books at a time, lol.

Mistborn was the first one I read by him.

The guy has a problem. He takes a break from writing a book by writing an other book. 🤣
