Played a few matches against bots and 1 against real people. Game looks nice. Plays pretty good too. I can see the grappling hook being divisive but my overall impression of the multiplayer is good.
EDIT: Should mention I played on a Series X. Going to try on PC later to see if there are any significant differences.

Damn! Kind of want to play this and see if it has the Halo 3 vibes I'm looking for!

I’m in Kena now!!
Cheating on your partner, how dare you?!?!

Alright, alright….I’d like to play with some of you animals, so someone let me what time you will be on. I can’t do tonight but tomorrow and Sunday are fair game.

I used to be good, but I semi-suck now, so prepare accordingly!

Mixed bag from me so far. It looks and feels really good. Feels like old school with some newer elements mixed in. After playing Destiny this feels a little slow, but I think that's just Destiny.

My big gripe was the dying so fast. Sometimes I'd get 2 tapped. Taptap dead. As if I had no shield? I'd put my entire gun into someone and not even get their shield to blink. Sometimes they just had the default AR too? It was like I was dying as fast as COD but they were playing Halo. Maybe bad netcode? Other times I was fine. Seemed really inconsistent. With Halo, you really shouldn't insta die unless it is to a sniper or some power weapon.

The weapon balance seems way off. Getting either that BR or that other slow firing full auto rifle (I loved that thing) was critical otherwise you're pretty much dead.

Spawns seemed horrible at times? The team was always right where I spawned, and my team was gone. I once spawned right on top of an enemy grenade? Do people just have the spawns memorized already? Team balancing seemed non-existent. I was up against people who had a high level each and every game, while I had teammates who didn't even shoot. I lost every game by at least 35 points.

I started to learn the maps more and more importantly the weapon pickups.

join us, I have karmakid Zcythe and my self

I can get on today. I waited around in Nervous’ lobby for too long yesterday.

I have seen assets pop in when I was playing training with AI. That should not happen on the Series X. My god. Oh and the AI is pretty damn good. Some of the best AI out there I have seen used as bots.

Seems like from what you guys are saying it needs some fine tuning, but could be great.

It definitely seemed to have a hook. I never disliked Halo 5, but it never pulled me in and made me want to play.

This seems to have that, especially if they can clean some stuff up (and they've got lots of time to do it).

I can see people disagreeing depending on which flavor of Halo was their favorite, but it feels like a solid mix of old school vs modern.

I'm on Game pass so I don't even need to buy it so I'll definitely be getting it, but I can see myself putting a lot of time into it.

It will be interesting to see which game between BF and this takes up most of my time.

It feels like a cross between halo and titanfall to be honest. Which isn't a bad thing IMO.

As for PC vs Series X, no really noticeable difference IMO. My 2080TI ran the game at 4K ultra/high at a solid 60fps. A few dips here and there but noting noticeable in the heat of action.

Seems you’re not the only one to feel that way.

The grapple is definitely lots of fun. Going to be tons of cool highlights with that.

I really hope they can adjust the timers on the main weapons (not the power ones). Spawning with only an AR and no good weapons ready is sort of tough, especially on the bigger maps. You almost have to get a BR or that VLK auto rifle to have a chance.
