Cos I’m too lazy to think of something new to say....

Now they just need Jason Jones and Marty to colab and they’ll have the band back with many of their og vocals :)

It’s a good thing he made it in time for Crackdown then.

Yeah, he had to take over for the original writer near the end, mainly for the cinematics..I haven’t played single player so I can’t say how those turned out.

He was in charged for all the halo cinematics for Bungie and and the other half of the vision of Jason Jones. But hell even Marty O’Donald has say in the story/cinematics

HELPING HANDS
As the team focuses on hitting our new launch window for the game, two Halo veterans have offered their helping hands. Pierre Hintze, the Head of our Publishing Team (MCC), will be joining the Halo Infinite team as a project lead for our Free-To-Play experience. He and his team have demonstrated an amazing ability to deliver new content, an excellent flighting program, and substantive updates across MCC over the past year. We look forward to having his expertise directly on the Halo Infinite team as we look to deliver a quality Free-To-Play multiplayer experience for everyone.

And last, but certainly not least, we’re excited to announce that our old friend Joseph Staten will be returning home to Halo for a bit. After helping launch Tell Me Why this week, he'll be coming on board as project lead for campaign as we push towards our 2021 release. The team has been working hard realizing our vision for campaign and we’re happy to have Joseph’s help to get it to the finish line.

For those of you who don’t know Joseph Staten, he wore many hats while working at Bungie for all of their Halo titles and even Destiny before joining the Xbox Games Studios family in 2014. If you enjoy Halo’s storylines, characters, and overall universe, he’s definitely one of the key people you have to thank. As product lead on Halo Infinite, however, Joseph will be focused on supporting the campaign team’s existing, talented, creative leaders and ensuring they have everything they need to create an awesome Halo game. His return to the franchise excites me and we’re all looking forward to having him on board!

Personally more excited to know that Hoberman was involved in multiplayer since 2019. Assuming the game will release in 2021, Max and his team will have had the opportunity to leave their stamp on the core arena and Big Team maps.

After further review, I believe Staten is being brought in to help stabilize the ship to help it land. He's not there long term. Will likely give the teams (and fans) confidence in many last second tweaking and balancing decisions. Since he was with Bungie during the Halo 2 hell they endured in the final 9 months, he can offer insight and best practices. My bet is Halo Infinite is set to launch in May which will give it time to impact the Xbox fiscal year. If it goes past that, then we can assume troubles were massive and at that point, I wouldnt expect Staten to resolve anything anytime soon. Halo is either within 6 months of launch or its being rebooted. See no in between.

Holy hell. That is some serious Halo commitment at that link you posted. Lot's of good read there.

At this point, who wants to take bets on whether the mission they showed in the gameplay reveal will actually be in the released game or not?

I say it will be. The mission looked great, and there were no complaints about the actual cutscene and game play. Just needed performance improvements and a bit more consistency in the graphics to show off the power of the XSX. I assume the campaign must be 90+% done by now.

I'd take them focusing on campaign and release asap, then focus in mp and release when ready, it's f2p anyway so who cares.
I want them released together, as one game. If one is ready before the other, just wait until both are ready. Fact remains, NO GAMES are ever ready. They could always use more spit and polish. Hence day one patches that fix so many bugs, quality of life improvements and even graphical issues. TAKE YOUR TIME and release when ready. If it's 2022, fine by me. We have thousands of other great games to play.

Sony first party games are great because they take their time. People mockingly called it the Delaystation, but after years of consistency they now rightfully get the benefit of the doubt when games are delayed. The bottom line is get it right, don’t rush it.

The majority of people who end up playing Halo Infinite will never know about the dev time, original release date, etc. We are a vocal minority.

The longer they take, the better (normally!).

Remember when people were pissed because there was too much Halo, too much Gears and too much Forza? They listen, take breaks, spend more time developing, and now people whine that they don't release them soon enough.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
