I have to admit that the 60 fps is throwing my aim off big time (got owned in some H2A rumble) , but its's really nice. Really have to get used to that in a Halo game.

If anyone wants to play some customs or matchmaking send me a friend request.

The matchmaking was working this bad before the game officially launched too so I don't think thats the issue (although the slow DL is problem just a different problem). The player count wasn't the issue. They just weren't ready. Throw in no 16 player MM and and Halo 1 bugs and you got yourself a pretty poor launch.
Well my download speed is going 56k dialup speeds and the 15 gb patch is the only difference from other launches, so it has to have something to do with it! The servers are obviously stressed.

Right. Load isn't the issue, otherwise everything would be having trouble. I haven't heard of any issues outside this game.

Wow so it takes me 3 hours to install a disc based game and now I cannot even play multiplayer? WTF is going on Microsuck!!!

Been going back and forth with Halo CE on Heroic and Alien Isolation. Wow that warthog is sure slippery in CE. I'm enjoying it again; some of it I forgot or don't recall certain sections.

Banged out some awesome online matches just now. Slick as snot. Started Halo CE campaign and it feels oh so good.

This has been the worst server performance for any Microsoft developed game in the history of Xbox Live! I started to install the game after 2 and it's now 7 and I've played about 3 games! 343 does look like a bunch of yuppie fvcks!

Its cool seeing my young nephews playing and loving the early Halo's. They were too young or not even born yet to appreciate what Halo CE and Halo 2 were. But they have been playing them all day and loving them as much as we did.

Surprised the 14GB downloaded within an hour and a half, the multiplayer is non existent though? just say's searching for a good 4/5 minutes before the warning sign pops up (disconnected from host).

I assume it's a problem everyone is having and not just me, I can honestly see myself playing Halo 2 Anniversary rumble only with multiplayer the playlist brings back a lot of memories.

yeah same here_ have to get use to the new pace, but im just wanting to play in some dedicated server cause i was in a laggy room someone made.

Matchmaking is actually a shambles, I haven't found a single game and my coop partner won't have the game for another week, it's been a disappointing not to mention pointless purchase up until now.

It is buggy as all f***.

What you have to do is, when you start up a search; if it doesn't start finding people within a minute, you just back out (then wait about 5 seconds) start it back up. I've been finding games within a decent amount of time all day.

Edit: So tomorrow is a new day..

Since the launch of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, we've received several, well deserved, complaints related to slow matchmaking and other issues. From everyone at 343 Industries, we are truly sorry and feel your frustration. You deserve better and we are working day and night to find solutions as quickly as possible, with our first priority focused on matchmaking improvements.

Tomorrow morning (Wednesday morning Pacific Time) we plan to roll out a number of server updates to help improve matchmaking. Again, these are server-side fixes, so you won't need to take a content update or reboot your console; you should see the effects right away.

In addition, we are targeting another release for this weekend, which will address a number of other community priorities. An unrelated issue with services is also causing achievements to not unlock correctly, and we realize this just makes it all feel a bit worse.

A game as large as Halo: The Master Chief Collection has a massive surface area, and while we made every effort to have the best launch possible for our fans, issues surfaced with launch and we're committed to improving this as fast as possible and get you all into matches. We're committed to improving things as fast as possible so you can have the Halo experience you've been waiting for.

Your feedback has been helpful for us in isolating issues, so please keep the input coming. We thank you for your continued patience and understanding while we work through these challenges. The development team at 343 Industries worked insanely hard to create Halo: The Master Chief Collection for you, and we won't stop until it's worthy of your passion for our franchise.

I am trying to let my brother join me in my Halo CE campaign, but i see no option for it in the game itself. So i invited him via the party app. But he gets this error:

Failed to connect as the session is full.

Think this has to do with the server issues?

You can't join in game. You need to create the session with your brother before starting. Halo has always been like that as far as I remember

Oh my god! Is that rosamund pike? She is such a talented actress and she is amazing in gone girl.Very pretty!

The matchmaking issues stink, but what about the 4 SP Halo games included? ;) I haven't even tried MM until they get it more stable.

Played some more online this morning....god damn do I suck...went a round without a single kill. Jesus people rock with battle rifles. Luckily I got some kills on some other rounds, but still a big ol negative K/D.

Awesome game is awesome.

Yeah, I couldn't get Co-Op to work at all. Disappointing, but I like playing solo just fine. This will be fixed soon, I'm sure.

Halo 2 is so much more difficult than Halo CE by a large margin. Lot's of fun, and the lighting is beautiful. I like that the in-game models match the models from the CG cutscenes. Very nice, and that sound!!

Co op works perfectly. It's just a little obtuse on how it's set up. You can not join a game in progress.
When you select the single player game you want to play, you have the option for X to select the roster. From here you can invite three others into the party lobby. Once all the players are in you'll see a massage saying that the mission must be started from the beginning because it's Co op.
An easier way is to get everyone into a party and use the invite party to game option. Again, you need to be in the menus and not in game.
Halo also suffers from the infamous party bug where sometimes a player won't be able to hear others. Restarting the game and party seems to be the only way to fix it for now.

It amazes me MS would treat one of their biggest ip's like this
That's a little melodramatic, don't you think? I'd say they are treating the IP with great care, and they dropped the ball (unintentionally, obviously) with this Connectivity issue. Who knows why it happened? I guarantee they aren't sitting on their hands on this.

Treating implies intent. There is obviously something we don't understand about the complexity of getting games to work online this gen. The biggest franchises are having issues. This is why Betas are so important now-a-days. Thankfully 343i gets this and they are making great use of the time they have for Halo 5.

On a side note: Man, Halo SP is fun. Fighting Elites is fun and challenging. I swear it seems like having the extra power on tap has made them smarter. There is so much ducking and dodging going on. Especially in Halo 2.

That's exactly what I did. Everything from being in a party already, to single invites. For some reason the invite would go out, my brother would get it. It would say he's in my game, but he'd never show up in my roster. I didn't find it all that hard to figure out.

No I dont think it is melodramatic, people need to voice complaints and be very vocal about these things. I am not saying MS is turning into the next Ubisoft or anything but they need to get their s*** together with this, especially when there are bound to be many new XBO owners buying for this game. They have already been working to try and turn things around, they dont have much breathing room for error imo. This isnt just MS, it seems to be a widespread problem for games now. Ah. I've seen that problem in destiny and a couple of other games.
Well, I was able to play about 3 hours of halo 4 with Co op last night. The only issue I had was some slight frame rate drops between some areas, but I think that was lag.

I have zero doubt they thought it would work just fine, though. It's not like they released it knowing it would happen. Obviously they were caught off guard. The only way to know for sure is to do massive stress testing/beta's. At least Halo 5 is doing this. I'm not going to cast stones about an extremely complex task. They will get it sorted, and people need to be more understanding. I had this attitude with Battlefield 4, and gave it the benefit of the doubt for months before I gave up.

Bottom line is, I know it's easy to expect certain things for your money- and you should- but there needs to be a level of understanding when it comes to complex issues like this. Like I said, I'm sure they are working around the clock to resolve it, and as long as they are, they will get my patience. For now.

Well when it comes to a software company, one of the biggest in the world and all the resources they have I suppose my expectations are a little higher and expect more. But these are all just opinions so we will have to agree to see things different

If any of you are big Battlefield fans, you likely know this guy's Youtube channel. Pretty cool to see people who predominantly play and record PC games so excited about this as well.
