I don't know much about the series, but I've always said that a Halo movie should be in the style of a Mad Max movie where it focuses constantly moving through the planet.
As usual, some controversy (or more like sorta racist nerd rage) has followed the casting news. Captain Keyes and daughter Miranda Keyes are being played by black actors.
I don't mind the casting on the race subject one bit. But this kind of change does make the story tough to reconcile. By which I mean this is clearly a different take on the character. There's a decent chance I'll even like them better in the roles. But I won't quite be able to see it as "halo," and more as "tv's version of halo."
It's just my own complicated nerd s***. Happens constantly with star wars, between the many books and games that stomped all over each other before the EU reset.
But oh well. Supposing it ends up a good show, I'll get to watching (sometime in the next decade hopefully?) and forget I even thought about this.
Halo TV Series Gives Reporters First Look at Pablo Schreiber in Master Chief Armor - IGN
Showtime revealed the first look at Master Chief wearing his iconic armor for the upcoming TV series, but there's some bad news...www.ign.com
I've been wondering how they are going to make this not seem like a Mandalorian clone, with the other hero not taking his helmet off, and being a skilled warrior in such a similar vein. I guess this one WON'T have a baby Yoda, so there's that.
I'm well aware of the differences in storyline, I'm just saying when we get to the main character, that's where I can see the comparisons becoming inevitable. At least we know what can be done, in some ways. I also now want every SF show to use technology similar to The Volume, as it's just so groundbreaking, and gives a best-for-the-budget experience.
Would ya have choreographed fight scenes for the elites? Ya don’t have to answer, just nodI got asked to work on this show. But turned it down as was going to work away in hungry during COVID. Bit too risky so I said no. Could be cool though if done well.

There was a ton of Superbowl commercials, and I still didn't understand. After looking this up yesterday, I now know that this will be the rebranding of CBS All Access on March 4th, which I already subscribe to.Never even heard of paramount+
