It's turned into THOR meets Men in Black or that goofy RIPD movie.
Honestly, hoping this is a s*** marketing move from Lionsgate aimed at the casual comic book fans while uncertain on how to appeal to the Deadpool fanbase. This is supposed to be a reboot with a R Rating with the most un-R Rated trailer you could have.
If this is truly R Rated the way the director describes, maybe at some point a good Red Band Trailer will drop.
I think David Harbour seems okay so far, it's just hard to tell seeing nothing but cheesy dialogue.
Visual FX looks okay; they might be going for some of the weird mythology creatures kind of like what was seen in Hellboy 2.
I'm trying to be generous with a mostly awful trailer because I hope this somehow turns out well.
Neat, I wasn’t aware that it was gonna be R rated, or maybe I forgot. Am getting Deadpool and those other vibes from it. Looks fun, i honestly thought the original two were good, not really great, or borderline great. I can remember more of Batman returns than I can the two hellboy movies.
Hellboy 1 had a cool HP Lovecraft influence.
Hellboy 2 I felt was a little off the rails with the goofy humor, though I did like the strange new character Johann who was trapped forever in an ectoplasmic spirit form.
Yes, but I'll give him a chance. Have prejudged actors before (Daniel Craig, Ben Affleck, Heath Ledger, Mark Ruffalo, Elisabeth Shue and more) and they came out just as good or better when replacing loved actors in big roles. That first trailer did nothing for me. I miss Ron.
