Help Picking a New TV

If that TV checks off your boxes the most then I wouldn’t let not having Dolby Vision change your mind. Regular HDR is good enough and the Samsung’s get brighter than most.

Yeah I'm not agreeing with that.
Dolby Vision is a must and much better than HDR 10 at times, recent Samsung have PQ issues with game mode and one 40gb HDMI 2.1isn't enough if a person is buying both next-generation consoles.

I was considering it but was turned off by PQ issues in game mode,One 40gb HDMI 2.1 port and no Dolby Vision.

I know you’ve probably already said, but does the 900H have all of these qualities?

VaLLiancE So since it looks like I'm waiting on both next-gen systems, I'm waiting on a new TV until early next year too. I might still go with the Sony (especially if they get a good Black Friday sale this year), but do you foresee anything coming out in the next 6 months or so I should keep an eye on?

2020 TCL 8 Series Vidrian

That and the Sony are the best options IMO.

The LG OLEDs seems to be coming down in price now that the Vizios have released. Get a 55” BX for $1300 at BB.

I could of bought any TV i wanted and i chose a $8999 Z9D(paid about $8000)

If i went for a dim,burn in prone,black crushing TV,bad tv brand(LG) i would of settled for a oled.

I strongly prefer nice FALD's bro.
Holy s*** what do you do for a living and can I have some money plz

I don't blame you on waiting for a new tv, honestly I'd wait and see what gets announced at CES and see how many more options you'll have next year with HDMI 2.1

I'm between the Samsung Q80 and Sony X900, although the X900 seemed to lack a few features like FreeSync, although maybe it has been updated via firmware? The addition of Dolby Vision is a big positive though.
