Got much further last night. Game play is solid, but other than flight and clouds, this isn't that great. The story seems to have got worse.
The forced fast romance to being lesbians is cringe as well.

Way too many issues in this expansion, that is for sure. It's short. Looks like people have 100% the game in 9 hours, campaign in 5. It looks like that aligns with where I am at.

Graphically, it seems a mess and a step down. During cutscenes, there are halo outlines around the characters when they are in front of contrasting backgrounds. Flickering of hair on characters is prominent (like it's not fully loaded). Twitching of dangling items off of clothing or tents. Pop-in galore, mostly when flying but also in shadows, textures and foilage. Obsessive use of fog, which I assume is for performance reasons.....is EVERYWHERE. During cutscenes and game play. Noticeable reduction in character quality when not in a cutscene.

The loading when going to merchants or inventory stash? Really?

I will finish this, but I highly doubt I will play a third one.

Foggggyyyyy

For some reason, I'm not really interested in this as much after seeing what's been shown so far. It just looks like the same coastal area I've already played through. Some reviews are saying the story is around 5 hours and total completion 7-8 hours. I will definitely get it at some point.

This one’s kinda bias 😆

Or, um, yeah…

Huh. Wow. Expected this to be better received. I’ll probably just wait a while, maybe for a price drop.

Yeah. It doesn't really look interesting to me and it was my GOTY and primary reason for getting a PS5. I'll definitely get it at some point.

Nah, too much pop in and other graphical issues like shimmering.

I do notice the pop ins sometimes when flying really high up and going back down. Probably a remnant of last gen graphical settings. Can't wait to see if they can reduce or eliminate these in the next few years.

Just finished it up this morning. Good gameplay is there of course. Accessibility options are second to none.

Final boss. The first half of the boss that takes place outside is awesome. The second half that takes place inside the boss is monotonous and artificially extended. The whole shoot the power weak point, jump over electrical current, shoot orbs, avoid red flames in floor, shoot weak point….and repeat and repeat and repeat and……that’s enough of that

Graphically the game is good but bugs and glitches make it less than stellar. Pop in, halo character lighting, shimmering, clipping, occasional black bars showing up when climbing is really a put off.

Story is mundane and lifeless outside of the growing relationship.

I would rate this last place between Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West and Burning Shores.

Never played Frozen Wilds so I can’t comment on that.

Time to play some more Forspoken.

That's probably always going to be the case regardless of power, they aren't going to fully render everything from a distance. I hate pop in and clipping and I doubt we'll ever get rid of them completely especially when flying.

Horizon Forbidden West returns and looks better than ever in its Burning Shores expansion. Freed from the constraints imposed by having to deliver a last-gen version, Guerrilla Games adds extra detail and new technology to the Decima Engine. Forbidden West looked beautiful, and Burning Shores only adds to the spectacle. Oliver Mackenzie reviews.

Finished the DLC, I don't get why it was needed at all. At least it was only $20 but there was really no point to it.
