That people thought God of War and Horizon were releasing this year is laughable. I know the studios were optimistic but let be real, with covid still raging and alot of studios still working remotely, we'll be lucky if the larger studios hit their release dates in 2022.

Yeah I was basically operating as if HFW was 2022 for a while now.

Sony Corp. has delayed the upcoming PlayStation game Horizon Forbidden West to the first quarter of 2022, according to a person familiar with the matter. Previously it had been scheduled for release this holiday season.

Yesterday, reports began circulating that Horizon Forbidden West is about to be officially delayed from holiday 2021 to some time in 2022.

If they could do horizon in the spring, tlou mp in summer, GT in fall, and GOW in autumn/holiday they’ll be cherry….maybe sprinkle some neat indies every other month *derppy dog drools*

Edit: wait you're right they offered the Complete edition that included the DLC for free this spring for the Play at Home promo. Going to download it tomorrow morning and maybe try to platinum it and also check out the 60fps. Very pleasant surprise, thanks for the reminder!

Mid Feb isn't much of a delay, at least we aren't waiting a year for it.

HZD still looks stunning 4 years later playing it at 60fps. Going to try and grind out the platinum before going into the DLC for the first time.

I will go like 6.-8 months without playing the game but when I do I'm always reminded of how good it looks, the textures, the lighting, how sharp everything looks for a "faux K" game. It's easily one of the best looking games of the generation and it's open world too. Last night I was fighting 3 of those giant alligators while a Stormbird flew near us and on the other side of the stream there were 3 more giant alligators fighting a stormbird while 3 watchers ran around in the brush near them and a sawtooth was hunting nearby as well. There are moments where a lot of things are happening on screen and the game still holds up perfectly, it did at 30fps and now at 60fps.

I was watching some footage on Youtube with the new patch and thought the same thing. The PS4 Pro 4K checkerboard mixed with the upgraded FPS should be really nice now on PS5, I wonder if there's any dynamic upscaling going on behind the scenes other wise, it definitely looks good.
