Horizon Zero Dawn PC/Steam

With so many games coming to PC I hope they fix the drivers for the DS4 and proper ones working with DS5
I just use x350 controller. Workhorse that wouldn’t die. Never an issue. It’s easier to get use to an Xbox controller than deal with issues with dual shock.

Hearing lots of rumors that this is a s***ty PC port.

s*** port confirmed. I fully blame Geurilla Games and SONY, I don't want to hear any excuses from them.

Whew that's a hot garbage port.

No wonder the PS4 Pro didn't have a 60fps mode.

I canceled my pre-order earlier today. I was already on the fence about double dipping as I already have the PS4 version but wanted to give the
PC version a shot. Not now.

I am sure Geutilla outsource the port to a third party. But no excuse when they charge us full price

Full prices for a horribly optimized port. The Steam discussion is unbelievable. People searching for refunds and the game crashing on even very beefy rigs. One thing I find interesting is that apparently according to DF the game was using their GPU bandwidth in x8 mode. They had to reconfigure their PCie bandwidth to x16 for performance to improve. I have no idea how that happened.

I guess I am one of the lucky ones that haven't yet experience a crash. FPS is tolerable on my end on Ultra/High with only reflections and AO on medium. Needless to say, the game should be running better than this on modern hardware. Technical issues aside, I am loving the game.

I don't think that has ever really been an issue though. Games have been tested for years at 8X vs 16X mode and there was always negligible difference. s*** running cards in SLI runs your cards in 8X mode if you are on a mainstream platform.

The problems in that game are more deeply rooted than that. There's gotta be some kind of bug with that.
