It is real:

I don't get it? If that's real then what all the unnecessary parts at the bottom that don't belong there? Something's not right.
Sky Posters is a poster printing company of sorts in LA supposedly from what Google spews out.

New trailer:

Coming in February 28th for US and early March for UK.

That clip was awesome! I keep expecting her to say "You know NOTHING Jon Snow!"

And she looks like the girl from Heavenly Sword I think? The PS3 game with a tribaly looking chick that has a bazooka and swords and stuff.

Got enough on my gaming plate this year so early next year sounds good to me. Poor PS4 is going to be lonely for a while though.

How come it say 1.03.17 in the trailer, if it's releasing 2/28?

Good trailer. I'm not a fan of that voice actor -- sounds too much like he's voice acting, if you know what I mean. I get the feeling the story will be fairly predictable. I like the visuals, though.

Commies and their backwards dates. Its March 1 in Europe.

The delay isn't too bad and Sony putting their best games in that Spring-ish slot had worked out so far.

Oohh...okay thanks. That makes sense.

Yeah, I'm not bothered about the delay, personally. A couple months, big deal. I wasn't going to pick it up for $60 anyhow. Don't trust their track record (I trust that it'll be a good game, just don't trust that it'll be a great one). Plus, I'm cheap.

People need to seriously lay off Horizon being delayed. This is the most ambitious game out of first party studios across Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo. This games scope is similar to the Wiitcher 3's scope. You saw in the trailer, snow mountains, tundras, forests and huge canyons, and this is all done by a studio who have done an RPG before. It has a crafting system, towns to explore, quests to take, a travel system and quite possibly one of the hardest set of enemies to code and programme for. I say let them take all the goddamn time in the world. We need fantastic new ambitious I.P's like this.

Then they should stop giving out dates. End of.

Not sure that I would call this game ambitious per se. Something like what Quantum Break tried to do (merging TV show & game) I would consider ambitious. So far Horizon hasn't showed me it is doing anything beyond the norm. Large scale games are a dime a dozen. Something as large as No Mans Sky is ambitious.

I do give Sony credit for letting this development team move a way from a successful FPS franchise and try something totally different, though.

I love the art style of this game, but I still think the "shooting a compound bow at gigantic robot dinosaurs" thing is unbelievably silly. Maybe they should let one person on the dev team take a day to go shoot a compound bow at some thin pieces of metal..

You're getting Halo and Quantum Break in my Horizon. Let's stay away from doing a "vs" thing.

Go back to the original point: a delay for a game of this scale is not unexpected. It's an ambitious title. Maybe not the most ambitious game ever. But it's not exactly stunning that they might require a bit more time, especially because they're doing something new.

As I keep repeating: delays are always good for games. Never bad. Repeat after me: "Delay good." Now you're a Sony gamer.

So games are delayed because they are ambitious.

No one is laying off them, it's ridiculous we have no idea when any of their games are coming out. How many games haven't been delayed? You can go all the way back after launch and it's a cluster of varying levels of ambition. I like to see the list. I mean so we create excuses for every case? I think much of it has to do with Sony's lead, they know it's no big deal to delay bc they know the loyal fanbase is huge and they'll take whatever they're told.

I think if it was more competitive, you can bet Sony would be scrambling resources to make sure there games hit their targets. Why? Because it would be life or death business speaking. They have zero to worry about. Cruise control.
Truth is if we wait until the next release date and it's delayed another 6 months their will be people defending that too. 2 more years? Hey its ambitious though.

I will not excuse other delays but I was just pointing out why Horizon is far more ambitious than the previous games delayed by Sony.

I don't think being ambitious should have anything to do with it. They said 2016 so that is the expectation.

With that said I can't come up with any reason to be offended by this. This was talked about a lot last year with Uncharted with how if Sony was in a more desperate situation the game would come out in the fall but maybe that is a good thing? Supposedly its not a big deal because of the loyal fanbase but why should it be considered a "big deal" at all?

I don't think it's going to even meet it's February release date. Horizon's omission leaves Sony with nothing this holiday season. I guess they're going to ride the winds of the Neo and PSVR this holiday season?

Well TLG hasn't been delayed yet and even without that they are still stronger than last year but I am not sure that is even the issue. Does it even matter if they have a big holiday title? People like to debate it but nobody seems to actually care.

"IF" The Last Guardian doesn't release this fall, and now we know Persona 5 isn't releasing this fall, and Horizon isn't releasing this fall that leaves us with Gran Turismo in November for large retail titles in the US.

Well, we know my stance on that one..... But we won't go more off-topic in here.

Bottom line is, Horizon was delayed, it should benefit from it, I also feel it's going to be delayed again, and it's another delay for the PlayStation 4.

It is f***ing annoying. Every game I am interested in and makes me want to get a PS4 keep getting delayed, or end up looking s***(Gran Turismo).

With Horizon getting delayed it just solidifies my decision to get No Mans Sky on PC rather than wait till the end of the year--which is when I was going to pick up a PS4.

:smash::smash:

I'm surprised people get so bent out of shape over game delays. Is it really that big a deal, that a game comes out a few months later? Really? Really? If a videogame getting delayed frustrates you this much, I wonder how you handle, you know ... life.

Games get delayed.

I think it just comes down to the frequency that games get delayed on the PlayStation brand that gets frustrating. Games they announce and then have been delayed for the PS4:

  • Horizon: Zero Dawn
  • DriveClub
  • DriveClub PSN+ version WAY delayed (and removed)
  • The Order 1886
  • Uncharted 4 (delayed 3 times)
  • Infamous Second Son (was to be a launch game but dev delayed)
  • Until Dawn
  • The Last of Us Remastered
  • The Last Guardian
  • Alienation
  • Shadow of the Beast
  • Tomorrow Children
  • No Man's Sky
  • Black Rose Valkyrie
  • Bloodborne

I understand. The point has been made. Do you think we do not understand that you think PS games get delayed often? Do you really think we are that dense, to have missed a point made constantly for years now?

I think it's something Xbox fans like to harp on, and it gets annoying. I mean, look at the people who are upset about the delay -- they're all Xbox fans. You, dead, menace, even my beloved boss Plainview -- you're all heavily Xbox guys. I think you guys just like to hammer the point, over and over and over and over.

It is really tiring. Tedious.
