Playing through ICO HD on the PS3 right now for the first time and the music and soundtrack is amazing... I can't seem to remember the last time I played a game that had such a beautiful soundtrack. It really adds into the immersion.

When I turned it on for the first time and the music came in bringing me to the menu screen... amazing. It felt like I suddenly jumped into Ico's world.

Anyone else had a similar experience with Ico or another game?

yeah shadow of the colossus has a really great soundtrack too. pirate both I say.

Yeah, I get the same feeling when I listen to the Morrowind theme. Takes me right back there.

I downloaded both when it was free for PS+ back in January. Going to try to plat Ico first before I play Shadow of the Colossus.

I mean the OST's dummy. both are good enough to let them play on their own. HMM someone makes a game soundtrack thread.
 
i had the same feeling with Ico when that song played in the menu, luckily the game fully lived up expectations. braid and mass effect (dat mystical galaxy map) also share similar feels, and tone
 
There's only one soundtrack I remember from ico....oompa! oompa!....oompa! oompa! :p
 
Ico/SoTC had some of the best video game music out there. I agree. Right up there with the original Panzer Dragoon.
