If there was one franchise you could revive from the ps1 and 2..

I loved Timesplitters 2 on the OXB. My friends and I had so much fun in MP. nothing like snowmen on flying carpets, tiny monkeys, giant stone golems, cardboard box robots, leech face ladies and tons of other freaks all duking it out on maps we created. Awesome times

So many to list!

Einhander (SE's only foray into side scrolling/vertical shooters and it was great)
Omega Boost
Vagrant Story
Xenogears
Um Jammer Lammy
Parasite Eve
Colony Wars (I'm going to go boot this up again this weekend for a trip down memory lane)

Unless the new XL has a 47" screen I'll pass. ;)

Oh crap. How can I forget Einhander and Colony Wars. The best shooters I played on PS1. I liked Vagrant Story too, but for what ever reason I just couldn't get through the game well and kept getting killed. I don't think I was playing the game right. I was getting demolished by monsters early in the game. So I was either playing it lousy or the game had some areas that had overpowered monsters that were meant to be killed later in the game after backtracking back to it. Not sure.

Battle Arena Toshinden.

Because fukkit.

Loaded, built to be more Diablo-clone-ish, 4-player online.

The key to Vagrant Story is the type of weapon you used against a specific enemy. Each enemy was vulnerable to a certain weapon type. One of the earliest encounters in the game seems impossible, but you switch to a polearm and you destroy what you fought earlier with just a sword.

GOSH! I would love to play a new Colony Wars, those games were so expansive. Wasn't the series created by Psygnosis? Man they made this game, Fatal Rewind on the Genesis. Damn near impossible to get anywhere.. >.> haha

Einhander was really really good, especially when you unlocked the Red Ship and went for high score speed runs.

Omega Boost! I keep trying to go back to complete this but the game is so damn dark. Definitely needs an upgrade, made by the Gran Turismo team also.. umm Polyphony Digital?

To people saying Syphon Filter, I think the PSP version was supposed to be pretty good.

I'd like to see Gungage, which was like Contra, but 3D and actually good.

Perhaps Lost Vikings. That was a great game

Thanks for the reminder. Looking forward to playing that on the Vita TV, when it makes it to the States.
