Fans have been hoping for a sequel to Dredd since its release in 2012, and now they could be getting their wish with a new Dredd miniseries.

According to TheWrap, Dredd executive producer Adi Shankar has created a secret seven-part miniseries that will focus on the Dark Judges. Shankar spent the last two years crafting the series to thank the supportive fans who signed petitions and campaigned for a Dredd sequel. The miniseries, which will be a part of Shankar's Bootleg Universe, will be released for free online later this month.

Holy s***, color me surprised. I was convinced this wouldn't happen, but it feels fantastic to be proven wrong! Hopefully the mini-series does the numbers that they want, I'll be watching for sure!
