Quentin Tarantino has been talking about turning forthcoming feature The Hateful Eight into an event, and announced plans to potentially retire after his 10th film.

Speaking at the American Film Market – much of which Deadline has written up – Tarantino called his next film “a 70mm event” that will “remind people why this is something you can’t see on television and how this is an experience you can’t have when you watch movies in your apartment, your man cave or your iPhone or iPad.”

How many time is this now ? I recall him saying similar a couple times before. OMG! Digital is killing movies and I ain't making no more:txbrolleyes: Just shut it, QT, and make some more awesome movies.
and his right, you can not get this experience watching in your man cave. You get no anoying f***s talking, screaming, playing with phones, and just generally annoying the f*** out of you until violence ensues. Man Cave >>>> Everything else.

Maybe he should concentrate on coming up with something original rather than worry about resolution. he hasn't and a good movie since the 90s.

I'll be catching his next movie in the theaters. He's dead f***ing on. It's just never the same experience. Looking forward to Hateful Eight. The teaser was cool.

Not sure if serious. Inglorious Bastards was fantastic. Django Unchained is hugely enjoyable too. Granted, they may not be as amazing as some of his 90's work like Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs, but I think it is harsh to say he has not had a good movie since then.

Yea I'm serious. Hugely forgettable(bastards was ok) movies since the 90s' Once I realized he was just glorifying 70s B movies and spaghetti westerns over and over, I became a non fan.

Ok well maybe I am excited about 70 mm Panavision. These scenes look spectacular.

EDIT:
Here is a list of where they are showing in full 70mm Panavison. List is incomplete but that all i was able to find and apparently not all info is out yet.

What's the hoopla over 70mm?

Simply put, it is the best way to view a movie. Think of it as going from DVD to Blu-ray. Better clarity, colour reproduction, more stable image, more uniform image, a crap tonne more detail in every frame, etc. Not too mention that it allows for a far larger screen size without any loss of picture quality.

I hope not, would love to see a 3rd Kill Bill, that is still my favorite QT movie. Still waiting on the Whole Bloody Affair.

Quent...the director version of Kiss and their final world tour. Or the Stones.
